MAC Quite Cute Collection

Thanks to Janoah, I manage to get a slot in the MAC Quite Cute Collection event held last Saturday *w* at 1Utama. This Spring Collection for 2011 features candy colored eye-popping colors in their collection.
“CUTE!” The most fanciful, fun and flattering compliment a young, modern trendsetter could ever want! Our version is the girliest kind of international glam possible, a style ride that combines postage-stamp-sized puppies with pixie swizzle-stick fashion and butterfly kisses for cute boys and even cuter shoes! Cupcake icing colours, vintage romance, an ATM card with Hello Kitty on it – and a way of life that says “yes!” to everything adorable! Come on, get happy, with the multi-culti cutie, from Tokyo to Toronto to Paris with love! Pastel shades for Eye Quads, Lipstick, Plushglass and Nail Lacquer…And, due to popular demand, we’re completely cute-ifying three favourite Lip Pencil shades from last season that will join the fun and frolic. Flash! You’ll ♥ the Mineralize Blush with the sweet heart baked right into it. If it shines, shimmers and pops it’s completely, contagiously, cute!
Collection Details:
Mineralize Blush. From left to right: Giggly, Sakura and Miss Behave. Pearl colored hearts to add on to the cuteness factor!
Plushglass! From left to right: Girl ♥ Boy, I ♥ U, Fashion Fanatic and Bubble Tea
Lipstick. From left to right: Playing Koi, Quite Cute, Saint Germain, Candy Yum-yum and Play Time
Nail Laquer. From left to right: Little Girl Type, Mischievous Mint and Ice Cream Cake. Damn... sounds yummy except for the Little Girl XD. I get the lolicon vibe~
The main eye candy! Cutie Eye Shadow. The palette has 4 shades, suitable for both day and night looks =D.
Two types of mascara for this collection, Zoom Lash and Loud Lash Mascara. Penulti (sounds like Penalty XD;;) Mate Eye Liner to draw out that cat eye look and 3 lip pencils in 3 shades. Naked Liner, In Synch and Boldy Bare.
Lastly, #7 lash to complete the whole look~!
All the pictures above were taken from Nitrolicious.com. So what do you think? My fav would be the Plushglasses and the Mineralize Blush in Giggly Sakura~ XD Moving on to the event!
Staff getting ready for the event, decked with uber huge pink bows on their heads~ Reminds me of big sis ribbon in RO *w*
MAC's Quite Cute collection on display. I love the display shelf :3
Waitresses in pink serving goodies on super cute trays!!! I wanna steal them and frame them in my room! >w<
Cupcakes on the cloud tray~ It looks really hungry XP
Another cute tray with cupcakes! <3
There's macaroons too! *looks at Audrey* >D
We had a demo on how to achieve the day and night look using the Cutie Eye Shadow palette.
Models with the Quite Cute makeup on~! Model on the left has the day look and the model on the right has the night look. I wonder how heavy are their costumes looking at the amount of charms hanging on them XD
Anyone noticed the claw machine at the beginning of the post? Well it's not just for show as guests are given a chance to try and grab a souvenir to bring back home!
And I manage to score a Limited Edition plushie for myself! :3 Damn my lop-sided glasses >w< The plushie is quite bouncy..... should make a good stress ball >D I'm so happy that the makeup artists covered up all my acne scars *_* This photo is unphotoshopped, heck I never photoshop my photos!
One of the MAC makeup artists, Evelyn, gave me a makeover using the Quite Cute collection. I only had the pink shadow on as I was dressed all in pink for the occasion XD;; She applied the lipstick in Quite Cute shade for me but honestly... I look like a gyaru with that lipstick so I settled with the Plushglass in Bubble Tea which is a creamy pale nude shade. The neutral color from the Plushglass helps cancel out the shocking color from the lipstick which gave me a nice pale pink shade for my lips.

The whole collection is just too 'gyaru' for my taste but I wouldn't mind having the Plushglass and the Mineralize Blush to my collection :3 The lipstick colors looks horrible on me but it looks okay on the models and the makeup artists ._. Evelyn said that the lipstick will look horrible on yourself but will look fine on others. I don't know where did that logic came from but I'm not gonna wear a lipstick that I can't be confident in D:

Pokainess in the Month of April

I used to hate June/July due to so many babies born on that month. Now I'm adding April to the list!!!! There were 4 birthdays this month! D:
Johnny's

His birthday card. Yes Pusheen~!!! XD
Next came Lex. We 'made'  Starbucks merchandise for him lol
Look at where the flowers are *grins*
The there was Jared's birthday too. No pictures available since they were all so blur >_> Big boss' birthday was this month, thankfully we didn't do much since she's in Singapore (phew!). On top of those birthdays, there were irresistible buys >w<
Got a diffuser for my room since my dad complained non-stop about the smell. But I find my room smell comforting =3=
So many nice promo's for this month too!
Ok that wasn't much. The one that killed the most were my car repairs. My car skidded on the SPRINT highway (again!) thanks to my awesome driving. The SPRINT highway is normally very free in the direction heading to KL. On that particular day, it just rained so the roads were wet and I didn't expect a jam up ahead so I jammed on the breaks which caused the car to skid. When I tried to press the accelerator, both the accelerator and the breaks were locked as though blocked by something @A@. I turned off the engine and restarted again and the car turned out fine @A@. Now I'm wondering whether its some locking mechanism for the car =/

The next day, I sent the car for a check up. Tried the service center at Kepong since I had the coupon for a full check up at a discounted price =D. They did a thorough check up and found that my car battery needs changing and also my gear oil is leaking. All in all the cost went to RM490 in total but I'm planning to push the gear oil change to next month T_T. My car battery hasn't been changed since the day I bought my car so that was more urgent XD;; Plus the service guy said the gear oil is still good to go.

So overall, I'm horribly pokai T_T especially for April/May. Gah *pulls hair* my cosplay plans get delayed again. I'm wondering whether should I just try my luck in Singapore, my living expenses gets to be reduced by half D8. My mind keeps wondering how do I save up for a house? how can I even save for a new laptop? HOW CAN I EVEN SAVE WHEN MONEY FLIES FOR EXPENSES AND NECESSITIES!!!!! *pulls hair*
Something delicious I discovered at the Dim Sum place today. Banana wrapped with red bean paste and some crispy stuff.
Thanks for the Dim Sum treat today Jon T_T I really need to treat that bugger one fine day rawr! I'm now opting to stuff every cent (almost) into my fixed deposit account. Hopefully with the little digits left in my bank, I'll be so depressed to think of buying anything.

Package from Lancome~

For those who are on my Facebook, you've seen me spazzing about the latest addition to my accessory stash :3 Now, after sending it for shooting (friend has a better camera =P) I can finally show you what I got~! \>w</. Lancome had a Snap & Win competition where all you had to do is pop by your nearest Lancome counter and request for a makeover. Then snap your picture before and after then email it to Lancome.

I got to know about it on the last day of the competition and they had 10 Sereni & Shentel hairbands to give away! How could I just let the chance slide =D. I had been curious to own a S&S hairband myself to examine why is it so bloody expensive ;w;. So on the last day of the competition, I rushed to the Lancome counter at MidValley and had my Miracle Maqui makeover~!
My submission~
I loved the result from the foundation! My acne scars are almost completely covered and the redness on my T-zone is gone, gone, gone! This is a perfect foundation for me to wear to work as it's very light, I almost forgot I was wearing foundation when I wiped my face with a tissue.

I got to know that I was one of the winners last Tuesday. You can imagine my excitement of finally owning a Sereni & Shentel hairband after stalking their site for months~! XD The package finally arrived on Thursday, very fast! *_*b
The beautiful package~!
Each Sereni & Shentel hairband comes with a car card, dust bag and a hard cover catalogue~
French Kiss in Pink by Sereni & Shentel. Photo from Audrey's cam.
My brand new wig wearing it~
This hairband is the most hardest thing I've photographed D8 There's just no right angle for it! T_T so these photos are one of the best ones. Thank you Lancome and Sereni & Shentel for having this contest~! You guys made me a very happy girl~

Do visit Sereni & Shentel's website and see their candy coloured hairbands~ Sereni & Shentel Website

Raub We Go

Had a trip to Raub with colleagues last weekend. It was suppose to be a casual trip but turned into an office photography trip lol. I've been delaying this post cuz there's tons of pictures ;_; We left KL at 7am and arrived at Raub around 9am. From here onwards, it'll mostly be a picture post.
Breakfast at one of the oldest coffee shops. This shop has a history of more than 80 years.
Fried Wan Tan
Johnny's noodles
Curry Mee
Steamed bread with butter and kaya~ Nyam~
Very cute cat >w<
Food was so-so. I'm surprised to see that there's Indian workers in a Chinese coffee shop instead of Indonesian workers. I'm not being racist >w< it's just unusual to me. After breakfast, it was sight seeing around Raub.
A cat trying to catch a butterfly
There's Isetan in Raub too! =D
Walking around one of Raub's lakes
There's even a romantic dating spot~
Visited the lotus pond.
A lotus, an almost perfect bloom >w<
Brunch was a durian session at Johnny's house.
Lunch at Restoran Ratha, popular for their Curry Fish Head. Poorly taken photo cuz I was in the middle of the road.
Fried Chicken~
Pot of goodness. Curry fish head with vegetables and tofu~
I'm the last person you'd wanna take to eat Indian food cuz most of their food doesn't agree with me >w<. I don't know how to eat Curry Fish Head so I picked out the vege and tofu. The fried chicken was a little dry and tough for me but I think it's the Indian style cuz that's how I find the chicken to be in the Indian stalls I eat at.
Our next stop, Bukit Koman which is located a few kilometers from Raub.
Ducks~
The yellow things look like birds sitting on the flowers XD;;
Our final stop, the groundnut factory.
Where we started stocking up on our year supply of nuts.
They gave us a tour in the factory to show how the nuts were processed but it was in Mandarin ;__; Even though Johnny and Fiyond translated but it still felt like lots of details are missing >_<. This visit was a good workout for me cuz my legs caved in a they were cramped for 3 days!
