Restoran Kim Kee Nom Nom

My second time eating at this place and I have no regrets =D. Had dinner there for Christmas Eve.

It's not really a noodle house. You can order dishes at night. The place is located at Taman Len Seng.

This is the dish my whole family can't stop eating. The onion rings can send A&W packing up!

Sweet and sour fish, nothing to hoohaa there.

Super green vege XD Cooked nicely so it was easy to bite through.

Egg fried with prawns.

Comes with free soup and total for 4 of us only came up to RM48 =D. The other day we ordered 3 dishes for 3 people and it only came up to RM27 huhu~

It's Overrrrrrrr

This marks the end of my studies wohoo~!

Yes it happened last week but I was too busy with the Kiehl's party and CF >w< I remember in January when me and Audrey were complaining that CF was ages away and now omg it's just passed @A@. Another 365 days to CF 2010 XD;;

CF2009

  • Secret Santa Coffy and it was tiring. Whole day of running, I've never worked so hard for CF in my entire life >< and I'm so sad that I missed half of the epic cosplayers

  • Giving out candy was nice. Sad MooMoo box went missing =(

  • The whole 3 days I was at Sunway, I ate fast food for all 3 meals

  • I love Sunway Tower rooms =D We got the Premium room on the first day and the Twin Suite (which was much better!!) on the second day

  • Karie is a 200% Jesuke fan

  • Twilight bashing fest of course

Movie Marathon

  • Princess and the Frog - A classic Disney movie with a Ne-Yo as the ending song is a total killer.

  • Zombieland - Gross and a sick sense of humor.

  • Avatar - Typical plot. Nothing special except for the graphics and design for the creatures.

  • Tropicana Mall wins my vote for best place to watch movie. Cheap parking AND tickets.

That's pretty much my life update from the time I went AWOL till today. Christmas outings will be in my next entry.

Merry Christmas guys and gals~ Hope you got something from your wishlist! I sure did 8D~~~ *flies happily*

MyPolyniaonline is having a fantastic offer! >A< All items are on 10% discount plus they're having a buy 1 free 1 deal and free postage plsu free gifts! I'm interested in getting the cream mask and serum since it locks in moisture and provides deep hydration and the mask has been voted best cream mask in Cleo X3

My holidays have been nothing but sleeping and movie marathons *groans as she drags herself to her books*

Review: Clarins HydraQuench Cream-Mask

Recently I was told that hydrating and moisturizing are 2 totally different things so I did some research and true enough. Hydrating refers to the balance of water content in your skin and moisturizing is the balance of sebum or oil. If you have combination skin like me then moisturizing and hydrating products are very important D8. Oh wells, we learn something new everyday~!

God knows how long I've received this sample but there's too many masks to try, nearly forgot about this baby. I'm always been told by beauticians (At salons and cosmetic counters) that my face is dehydrated at the cheeks and oily at the T-zone so I ransacked through my pouch of masks for something to hydrate my skin.

Tadaa~ The key product of Clarins HydraQuench range.

The HydraQuench range contains bark from Katafray trees which helps to increase hydration and restore moisture balance. The masks acts like a cream so you don't need to necessarily wash it off as it'll be absorbed into your skin =D As mentioned in the website: Apply morning and/or evening to thoroughly cleansed face and neck. May be applied throughout the day when dehydration makes skin feel uncomfortable.

Unlike most masks, this one comes in a tube so unlucky for you cheapskates, you won't be able to 'lick' it clean =P Smack a decent layer of the white cream mask onto your skin and leave it for 5 - 15 minutes. Go ahead and check in the mirror if you're interested, you'll notice that some of the cream has been absorbed after a while. As for me, my cheeks absorbed most of the cream where as I still see the white layer around the T-zone. Once you're satisfied, wipe the remaining mask with a cotton pad soaked with toner. I had nice bouncy cheeks for my date the very next day and Jared commented that my face look good~ =D

All in all, the product works =D just a little warning for those with sensitive skin, you might feel a prickle as though tiny red ants nibbling gently on your face when you apply the mask D8 I'm not sure what this means but I'll ask the SA today once I submit my thesis to the print shop =P

The Clarins HydraQuench Cream-Mask retails for RM135 for 75ml. A 5ml sachet can last for 2 uses so do the math and it's RM4.50 each time you use it. Sounds ok to me! =D

Review: Dermalogica CleanStart Range

Having a proper skincare regimen is important and I've only got to learn that when I was 18 as my mum insisted that just daily face cleansing would be sufficient. Once I started work, I took the initiative to do more product research and bought products to try. Only recently I have a complete skincare set (as in cleanser, scrub, toner and moisturizer) and my breakouts have finally calmed down (or maybe it's just the hormones).

I got the samples last month and they're still available. Just purchase the latest issue of Cleo and flip through till you come across a full page ad of CleanStart. There's a cut out coupon below redeemable at AsterSpring.

What you will be receiving. A pack containing their brochure, cleanser, scrub, moisturizer and sun block.

The cute part of this range is that each products is color coded and named with something quirky.

Wash off = Cleanser
All Over Clear = Toner
Ready, Set, Scrub = Scrub or exfoliator
Bedtime for Breakouts = A night moisturizer and repair treatment
Hit The Spot = Acne treatment cream
Welcome Matte SPF15/ Brighten Up SPF15 = Sun block
Smart Mouth Lip Shine = Lip balm

The trial set however only comes with 4 essential items:

Wash Off
A foaming wash containing orange peel and and salicyclic acid to remove impurities, bacteria and extra oil which explains the mild citrus scent XD Nothing much to mention about this cleanser.

Ready, Set Scrub
Serves as a masque and a scrub, Ready to Scrub only needs to be massaged and leave in for 5 minutes giving the refreshing menthol feeling that helps to reduce skin redness. This scrub is really different from the scrubs I've previously used. The scrub contains tiny Silica granules that help polish the face. It feels like rubbing sand paper on your face and I'm being totally honest here though I find my face feeling more refreshed using BodyShop's Tea Tree mask.

Bedtime for Breakouts
Made from natural ingredients such as licorice, cucumber and other plant extracts, Bedtime for Breakouts reduces skin redness and reduces oiliness. It serves as a night treatment helping to reduce breakouts by purifying, exfoliate and clears future breakouts lurking under the skin ensuring you with less congestion, breakouts and redness. Bedtime for Breakouts comes in a watery gel texture that spreads easily on face. Absorbs easily too I might add and the smell of the cucumber and plant extracts is stronger than Wash Off.

Welcome Matte Spf15
A lightweight lotion, non-oily formula that doesn't clog pores. Acts as a light moisturizer that minimizes shine while hydrating skin. Most importantly, Welcome Matte Spf 15 provides protection against the harsh sun rays.

Overall Thoughts: I'm quite satisfied with the Bedtime for Breakouts and Ready, Set, Scrub. The Bedtime for Breakouts is a non cream moisturizer which is suitable for people with super oily skin like me. As the gel spreads easily, the sachet provided is enough for 2-3 usages. I like the harsh scrubbing feeling when I use Ready, Set, Scrub. Some might find it feels as though someoe ripping your skin off but it depends on how hard you scrub your face. The rough scrubbing makes my face feel clean but not refreshing as the menthol effect isn't as strong as I expected it to be.

I wouldn't recommend Welcome Matte Spf15 if you're looking for a good sunscreen. There's lots of other brands available in the pharmacies with a higher SPF number. The highest as I'm aware off is SPF130 from SunPlay which is suitable for face and body. I'll highly recommend a sunscreen SPF50 and above if you're exposed to the outdoors on a daily basis as the heat and wheather overall in Malaysia is crazy

All though the range is targeted to teens age 15-25, the price says otherwise XD;; Each product ranges from RM85+ to RM120+ and to have the whole set would require an arm and leg especially if you're surviving on a student's income. I heard the lipbalm tastes like cake! haha~

Buys from Avene, Stage and SkinFood

There was suppose to be a review up today but I feel that the updates of my retail therapy is much more important! XD *gets smacked* Had to go for a recce today so decided to drop by the Alliance warehouse sale near HICOM Glenmarie. Arrived 10 minutes to 10am and all the aunties were lining up at the entrance @_@ while the uncles seated themselves near the pavement.

This cat came to the warehouse sale too =D to sunbathe <3

Took some pictures of the Christmas decorations in Sunway Pyramid.

Looks like some entrance to a carnival

And on the stage is a lovely long couch~

Bought my SkinFood make up remover after so much delay thanks to that unfortunate spill >_> RM39.30 wohoo~ Smells like candy~ <3

A brush cleanser  (*psst* I've never cleaned my brushes x_X) Hardly used them anyways and I only got my desired full set recently.

Spent RM120 on the sale but only RM40 is mine haha. I bought the Avene Thermal Spring Water (RM30) and Stage brush cleanser (RM10) for myself. Nightress requested for another bottle of Avene (RM30), Stage Wondergloss (RM25) and Stage waterproof make up remover (RM25)

Of Updates~

My first December entry haha. My term is almost finished. All that's left are my exams and I'll be free =D Exams are on the 16th and there's no progress on my revision! With work, movie marathons, CF and reading beauty blogs, my life is still as hectic as ever for the past week =D. Bad news is my cold has been keeping me company ever since I submitted my final draft thesis.

Tuesday - Went to the Estee Lauder Facebook event and got a makeover =D So sad it was a guy that attended to me :3 I like female make up artists for some reason.

TADAA~ KIRA~! Well they asked me to pose something cute ~_~ and not.... the normal poses.

Come home to remove my make up and ended up spilling my remover on the floor D: Well it gives me a great excuse to buy the SkinFood Milkshake remover but, gosh the heartache ;w;

Friday - Wohoo it's the day for the Shu Uemura Kitty Cat parteh~! Me and Masako got dressed up. I grabbed Dejiko's outfit (HAHA BONUS SIA) and was welcomed pets and squishes >w<. They either pet the hat, squished my tail or tap the bells and ask my why don't they ring @A@. Even the Shu staff joined the fun of squishing my tail >A<. Masako came with Ultimecia's outfit =D

During the party, we were surprised with a make up contest @A@ and everyone panicked lol. We're required to apply our make up in 20 minutes so all the girls were crowding around the tester table trying on various colors in a rush haha. I didn't put much, just cover my pimples, a little blush, gloss and some glittery silver shadow on my eyes. Typical cosplayers make up HAHA! It was a bit scary having to squish in to the crowd to grab the products x_X. After that, we have to pose with a Shu Uemura product and tell the judges the inspiration behind out make up. Masako got the consolation prize which was a Tsumori Chisato mirror and Stellar got the grand prize which was a Shu Uemura hamper worth RM400 =D

No pictures from my side though since it's hard to grip anything with those mittens >w< but have a picture of the pretty deco at 1Utama.

The first thing that came to my mind was a nice ballroom dress photoshoot XD

Also not to forget~

The door gift from Shu Uemura, a travel pouch plus a 3pc Whitening Recovery EX set consist of cleansing oil, whitening lotion and whitening emulsion!

Thank you so much Miu for organizing this event! *o*/

My samples pouch is so full, I should be able to review something this week ~_~.

Big pencillll *paws* for my Coffy cosplay =D and it's only RM1!
