Guerlain Beauty Workshop @ Chinoz KLCC

A brand that most makeup addicts would be familiar with :D Guerlain is one of the oldest French perfume houses and has upheld the reputation of superior quality and excellence for over 180 years. Guerlain's rich history includes being one of the first makers of eyeliner, mascara, lipstick and bronzer powder along with creating over 700 fragrances. I first knew about Guerlain when the meteorites were hit on the local beauty forums. At that time, I couldn't afford such a luxurious product... just look at the packaging, they look so sleek and made to fit a queen! ;w;

Then Tammy linked me to HELLO! magazine as they're opening RSVP's for a beauty experience with Guerlain :D and I was lucky enough to score an invite!
Required us to state our profession, I guess they filter the potential customers. Perks of being a working adult ^_^V

I took the morning session but left the house a bit late :D;; Most of the peeps were already there and prepping up. Each table was assigned one assistant from Guerlain and they helped us remove our makeup and applied moisturiser. Our table had Sue as our assistant :3
Skin care products used before proceeding to the makeup session
A close up~
My table only had 2-3 girls so it was quite comfy and we get to have extra attention from Sue~~ mwhahaha. All Guerlain's products smell of rose water :D and it felt so good when Sue massaged the Intense Hydration Wrinkle Plumper onto my skin!
All the makeup for us to play on that day!!! Those Meteorites!!!!
Shades of foundations and brushes for us to play :D Also the lipsticks there are  one of the new products for the Fall 2012 collection.
Everyone listening attentively
We were first shown how to apply the primer, foundation then using the meteorites as a loose powder. Sue was going around the table assisting us in picking the right shade for our skin :D but we have to apply everything by ourselves. To my surprise, among all the beauty brands I've used, Guerlain is one product that is frikkin easy to use!!! Either that, or my face just welcomes Guerlain ever so willingly. I've been experimenting makeup since 2005 and only recently I found that Lancome agrees with my skin. Other than that, every other brand just cakes up or my skin just throws a riot by turning into an oil factory.
Meteorites Perles, Light-Difusing Perfecting Primer, one of the star products of Guerlain
This gel primer is the first makeup base with pearls of light. Of course when you pump out, it doesn't shoot pearls but rather in a watery form. The pearls are made from an exclusive color control base to camouflage blemishes and uneven skin tone. Combined with pearlescent extracts to capture and reflect light and blur the appearance of fine lines without adding shine.

Parure De Lumiere - Light-Difusing Foundation Moisture Infusion
This is one of their new products for the Fall 2012 range. The foundation not only moisturizes skin but provides a healthy glow as well. The ingredients are extremely rich in minerals which gives skin a smooth and fresh finish.
Ahh~ Who could forget Guerlain's star product, the Meteorite Pearls
Inside this chest of treasure is six multicoloured pearls that blend together to create a flawless and radiant complexion. The Meteorite Pearls are based on the technology of white light which is used in photography and film to erase imperfections and soften features. Hmm.... sounds like a must have for cosplay! XD Just swirl your brush in then apply a light layer on your face after applying foundation.

THIS. THIS IS GOD! This is my most favorite product in the workshop!
Just to give you guys a clearer look at the packaging
Guerlain's Precious Light Illuminator is the magic want for makeup! >A< This illuminator hides imperfections and very suitable to cover dark eye bags *_*b. Just dab a little along the under eyes then slowly use your finger to blend it. Long term results include diminishment of fine lines and smoother skin. I used the illuminator to cover my eye bags and smile lines during the workshop.

Eyeshadow shade used for the day
Next we dabbled with lip and eye makeup :D Sue recommended me green eyeshadow since I was wearing a light green skirt that day and surprisingly it matched me well, probably because of the earthy shades. Next, Guerlain introduced their new range of lippies for the Fall 2012 collection.

Rouge G Le Brilliant Complete Shine Lipcolor
The original, creamy richness of Rouge G has now been combined with the lightness of color. Rouge G Le Brillant has mastered the art of blending this incredibly full-bodied texture with shimmering light colors. Deep in the heart of this precious treasure, an extraordinary formula complete with ruby powder fills the lips with moisture, making them ultra-smooth, plump and glistening. Spectacular yet refined, Rouge G Le Brillant emits a subtle shine and reveals all the beauty of an ultrafeminine ritual. The secret? A clever balance between glamour and softness unveiled by a truly unique formula.

Rouge G l'Extrait' Lip Color
Liquid, creamy, consistent, ultra-pigmented and velvety, the Rouge G l'Extrait exceptional lip color is the perfect combination of a lipstick and a gloss that ensures an incredibly sophisticated look. The liquid texture glides gently across lips and within a few moments, the silky color becomes matte. A non-sticky, nondrying and non-feathering texture leaves your lips looking flawless for hours.

Also, introducing Guerlain's Noir G Mascara, the first mascara to come in a  luxurious looking case with a mirror
New Noir G is the first mascara to combine the extravagant luxury of a jewel case with a mirror and an extraordinary formula that adds volume, lengthens and curls. Ultra-black pigments create perfectly defined eyes without any risk of smearing, smudging or clumping. A fortifying agent helps to regenerate lashes by stimulating keratin for fortification and lash growth. Like a magic wand, the ground-breaking Noir G goes one step further with a refillable applicator, making it convenient and easy to switch to a new wand as soon as you need it. Pull on the case and with a click, the hidden mirror is revealed. Add a quick twist and the brush appears, ready to create exceptional, stunning lashes.

The packaging just screams CLASS and I love how the packaging comes with a mirror so ladies won't have to fish out their compacts when touching up :D. As for the lippies, it left me with a confused look as I was looking at a moisturising lipcolor that gives a moisturising shine to the lips and also a lipstick + lipgloss combo that comes in a lipgloss form yet gives a matte finish. Confusing yes? Thank heavens Sue was around XD so she suggested I try mixing both the lipcolors so have a red-orangey color. According to her, the lipcolor can stay on your lips for up to 4 hours. The mascara is a so-so for me as I'm not a fan of mascara's. Fake eyelashes are the best! :D

After our makeup session, there was a surprise in for us! Before the session, they placed a small sheet of paper with Guerlain's logo under our chairs so whoever has it will get a prize. And I got it!!! *O* scored myself a cream eyeshadow fro Guerlain :D
Me and mah prize! :D
That flawless finish! ;A; and I love how my eyes pop out after using Guerlain's eye pencil. I've only been able to get that look from using liquid eyeliner *w*b. There were also refreshments served after the makeup session courtesy of Chinoz. What better way to test out the lippie staying power >D
Treats from Chinoz :D Turkey Quiche, Mushroom Stick and Egg Sandwiches nyam~
I have to admit, the staying power of the Le Brilliant and l'Extrait lipcolor is pretty decent but it didn't last past the second meal XD;;
Goodie bag that consist of Skincare, Makeup and Perfume samples :D
My prize: Guerlain Ombre Fusion Cream Eyeshadow
Sue mentioned how this eyeshadow still stays on your lids after swimming! LOLOL gotta try that one day :D Thank you HELLO! Malaysia for organizing this workshop and giving me the opportunity to get up, close and personal with Guerlain :D I've been totally hoodwinked by Guerlain's products! Loving almost all of the products used during the workshop. I hope I'll be able to buy the Light-Diffusing Perfecting Primer and Meteorite Pearls soon >w< and not forgetting the Precious Light Illuminator too! It'll be darn useful for me for work~

Weekend Ventures #2309

Been having conflicting thoughts during the weekend. Between juggling work and other issues along with my car's sudden breakdown last week (that will be another story to be told next time :D) manage to have the weekend to myself attending a beauty workshop and catching up with friends~

Didn't go for the H&M launch cuz I was afraid of the crowd haha. Probably should go next week *w*. Still waiting for reports and blog updates on H&M's opening day, I don't see much hype on my flist and on their FB international page :( So instead of attending the H&M opening day, I went for Guerlain's beauty workshop organized by Hello! magazine :D

It was one workshop I really enjoyed and I'm starting to love all their products! Oh my monies ;A; Thankfully I didn't buy anything, but I don't think I'll be able to hold myself for long T_T especially with the Meteorites + Meteorite Primer set going for RM299!

Had lunch/tea with Jonathan who traveled down from PJ~! Thankew! :D We went to Ben's and shared a meal! Don't get me wrong >A< portions were huge and there's no way I could finish on my own! Foursquare was right.... the service IS terrible lol.

Our Banoffee Sundae :D
He showed me how he made his cigs @_@
Hand making
Tadaa~
The other flavors he has.
Did a little bit of retail therapy as well :D I'm having a sudden interest with those long and also chunky collar necklaces.
Long necklace for RM10 at Asian Avenue. I saw the same one selling for RM15 at Offline Boutique lolol. Also  bought a flair work skirt from Cotton On for RM59.90!
Makeup haul for the month of September!
Bought Kiss Me eyeliner since my current one is drying up. It's RM10 cheaper than K-Palette I'm sorry T___T. RMK lipgloss which I got it for RM50 and brand new from Felicia! Mixture of eyelashes that I ordered from May and also the bottom 4 were donations from Belle >w< to test bishie makeup. Lastly the assorted colo I mean eye pencils to test coloring eyebrows!

Dad also just came back from Beijing. In all jakuness be bought back a lot of China snacks. Mooncakes that feel as hard as biscuits lol. On the flight back to KL, he bought some duty-free chocolates which his boss end up offering to pay.
PATCHIIIIIIIII  Thankew daddy's boss! *o* *kowtows*
Mum doesn't really like it but LESS MEN MORE SHARE! 8D
Quite an eventful week as I looked back at what I'm typing in for the post XD;; Now I feel so much better and ready to fight for this week! >w<b

Indulging with Pierre Ledent

If you look carefully... there's a tiny crumb in this pic :P

Look familiar? There's been a bunch of blogger raids going on for this chocolate shop in Bangsar Shopping Centre. I'm not in the bandwagon but I did join their Q&A session during the Merdeka weekend :D

And surprisingly I won!!!! <3
This will be a thank you post to Pierre Ledent and giving the box of chocolate 15 minutes of fame :D. Went to collect prize last week at Bangsar Shopping Centre.

Pierre Ledent is located at Jason's Food Hall together with a whole lot more yummies in the middle of Bangsar Shopping Centre (oh noes, my commoner's brain is kicking in! 8D). Honestly I can't stop thinking of Ezel and his gourmet tongue when I stepped into the area.... can picture ChibiEzel running around squealing +_+;;
Pierre Ledent's booth at BSC. Picture taken from Pierre Ledent's Facebook
Pierre Ledent's chocolates are specially flown from Belgium and his handmade recipes uses chocolates from controlled origin and contain 70% cocoa.
Pierre Ledent himself at the BSC outlet :D Picture also taken from Pierre Ledent's Facebook
See the counter there? It's a custom-made sliding counter that stores chocolates and macarons at ready-to-eat temperatures :D
Macarons stored in jewelry cases :D
Packaging for less than 4 pcs :D
Bought myself a couple of macarons too and boy I think these are the most expensive macarons in KL! RM10.90 per piece. Thank you Indra for introducing me to the flavors :D I got myself Violet, Balsamic Vinegar and Strawberry Vanilla. Got you quirking your eyebrow at the mention of Balsamic Vinegar? More about that later in the post XD

My prize from Pierre Ledent :D 5 + 5 chocolates encased in a jewelry box <3
Isa, Diane, Gigi, Amadou and Ecrin
Isa - Caramel Pistachios
Diane - Praline Nuts
Gigi - Praline Nuts
Amadou - Praline Almond-Nuts
Ecrin - Ganache Bitter-Raspberry

Pamela and Calva, the rest are the same as the first tier
Pamela - Ganache Cassis-Pear
Calva - Ganache Calvados-Cinnamon

I was horrified at first knowing that most of them have nuts. I'm not allergic but I'm just not a fan of chocolates with nuts as most of the chocolates have a big chunky nut right in the middle. To my surprise, the nuts are chopped to mighty fine pieces that they blended well together with the chocolate *O*b
Close up on the pattern for Pamela~
There's jewelry boxes for the pralines depending on the quantity. Price starts from 3 for RM38 :D Next comes the macarons~
Sorry ;_; my mum's a Melamine fan.... so we only have these plates D:
The Balsamic Vinegar cracked cuz it fell on the plate as I tried to get it out of the packet *sniffs* Thank god I was talking to Indra on the phone or else he would've seen my face of pure disgust when he recommended the Balsamic Vinegar flavor XD;; Later on he explained that the vinegar used has been preserved for 25 years so as time passes the vinegar caramelizes so there's no sour flavor.

Violet also nickname Perfume
Was attracted to the beautiful gradient on this macaron *_* This macaron is a combination of wildflowers and blackberries and it is said to taste like perfume in your mouth. I was already picturing the idea of my Dior perfume in my mouth lololol.

Vanille Fraise
Lastly is the Strawberry Vanilla macaron. I took this as I was very sensitive to the taste of strawberries, especially the artificial flavoring kinds. This macaron turned out to be my favorite and I love the sparkles on the macaron! *gets whacked*

So that's my haul from Pierre Ledent. So sorry for the horrible looking pictures T_T/ Do check out their Facebook~

Li BingBing's Red Carpet Event @ Sunway Pyramid

After the press conference, Li BingBing had other interviews to attend but she's scheduled to appear at Sunway Pyramid at 7.30. Me and Arisa went to the entrance about 6pm to register ourselves :D

There's already a big crowd waiting for Li BingBing's arrival by 6 o_o
Crowd getting excited as they were giving out merchandise shirts. Too bad we media didn't get any ><
The stage for the night event
Gungho fans :D
Photogs were tweaking their settings from 6.45pm. Here's one of the crew posing for test shots. Ok? Oh yes definitely OK *continues drinking up the view* XD;;
As the night approaches, all the camera men were already on standby waiting. I was already drenched in sweat trying to fight my way between all the big and tall photogs @_@
Opening ceremony started with a group of zombies coming in the performing a dance at the stage area.
Followed by Li BingBing's arrival. Oh gosh I feel so lucky to snap a shot of her looking at me!! *w*b
Really good experience covering this event the last 2 days but I think it will be my first and last XD;;
