Room8008 Hamper Promo

Hi all! Just one to share a belated promo that Room 8008 had. This is one boutique on my favorite list as she brings in such cute clothes! They get swapped so fast, a good half of them are gone before you see it on her site ;A; Anyways, once a year, Room 8008 releases 50 hamper bags of randomly mixed clothes, shoes and accessories for an affordable price. The concept is just like the Lucky Bag concept in Isetan :)

This year, the hamper contains a mix and match of clothes, bags, shoes and accessories all selected and paired up by the owner herself! The hamper comes in recycle bag with Room 8008's label on it and each hamper is worth RM150 to RM200. The sweetest deal is that all these hampers are up for only RM39.90!!!! All the hampers were sold out within AN HOUR @__@ and thankfully I manage to snag one hehe~ XD

Room 8008 has a physical shop located on the 7th floor of Berjaya Times Square. I went to collect the hamper from her rather than having it delivered as it's been awhile since I last browsed her shop :) Doesn't the shop look super cute? :D

Beauty Expo 2012

Now in its 12 year and going from strength to strength with outstanding participation from experts of the industry, the Beauty12 Expo was held from 28th Sept to 1st October in Kuala Lumpur. Founded in 2001, Beauty Expo was the first professional beauty trade exhibition to be held in Malaysia. Covering a top-notch selection of beauty, business, education, trends and industrial competitions over the pas 11 years, this exhibition has transcended to the most important networking platform for leaders from Beauty, Hair and Nail Industry in the Southeast Asia. Beauty12 Expo Covers 10,000 square metres of space, representing 500 exhibits from 23 countries.

Every year the expo brings in exhibitors from the entire spectrum from the beauty industry. This year, the exhibit zones are divided into 5 areas namely:

1. Beauty Salon Spa & Wellness
2. Hair Products & Equipment
3. Nail Products & Tools
4. Packaging, Contract Manufacturing & Private Labeling
5. Makeup & Education.

The exhibition was opened to public on a weekday with an entry fee of RM15. Believe me girls, this is one of the most worth exhibitions to go to stock up on your beauty items. I normally go to these expo's to stock up on makeup, brushes and also masks :D. Even makeup cases are cheap hehehe, I got my makeup box from the expo a few years back for about RM60 *_*V. Not only that, the expo is a good chance for you to go and see what's new in the market, keep yourself updated with the latest trends :D

The expo features a variety of seminars and competitions covering all beauty aspects. I was there to cover the Kimarie Hairdressing & Academy of Makeup show. Many thanks to Tammy for that!

Beautiful show put together! =) I really regret not having a better camera to snap better pictures x_X. The runway was quite far *sobs* The competition shall be posted in the next entry but just to share with you some photos I took of the expo.

Sol, a makeup brand from Korea. Really love their packaging! They've just launched their range of masks but sadly they're not available in Malaysia.

Didn't buy much this time since the Eclat D'or masks were way beyond my budget! They test the mask on half of my face and I loved the result! >.<. Total in that picture itself is already RM138 *sobs*

Weekend Ventures #2309

Been having conflicting thoughts during the weekend. Between juggling work and other issues along with my car's sudden breakdown last week (that will be another story to be told next time :D) manage to have the weekend to myself attending a beauty workshop and catching up with friends~

Didn't go for the H&M launch cuz I was afraid of the crowd haha. Probably should go next week *w*. Still waiting for reports and blog updates on H&M's opening day, I don't see much hype on my flist and on their FB international page :( So instead of attending the H&M opening day, I went for Guerlain's beauty workshop organized by Hello! magazine :D

It was one workshop I really enjoyed and I'm starting to love all their products! Oh my monies ;A; Thankfully I didn't buy anything, but I don't think I'll be able to hold myself for long T_T especially with the Meteorites + Meteorite Primer set going for RM299!

Had lunch/tea with Jonathan who traveled down from PJ~! Thankew! :D We went to Ben's and shared a meal! Don't get me wrong >A< portions were huge and there's no way I could finish on my own! Foursquare was right.... the service IS terrible lol.

Long necklace for RM10 at Asian Avenue. I saw the same one selling for RM15 at Offline Boutique lolol. Also  bought a flair work skirt from Cotton On for RM59.90!

Makeup haul for the month of September!

Bought Kiss Me eyeliner since my current one is drying up. It's RM10 cheaper than K-Palette I'm sorry T___T. RMK lipgloss which I got it for RM50 and brand new from Felicia! Mixture of eyelashes that I ordered from May and also the bottom 4 were donations from Belle >w< to test bishie makeup. Lastly the assorted colo I mean eye pencils to test coloring eyebrows!

Dad also just came back from Beijing. In all jakuness be bought back a lot of China snacks. Mooncakes that feel as hard as biscuits lol. On the flight back to KL, he bought some duty-free chocolates which his boss end up offering to pay.

April's Rant and Retail Therapy

I might be open, but I don't appreciate people who talk without thinking. It's sad that I've know this person for a few years yet he/she can keep doing this to me. Not once, not twice but I've been getting it for more than 6 months.

I was talking to a friend the other day and the issue of Miss V came up. Apparently Miss V says whatever the fuck she wants because she has nothing to lose because she has nothing. Oh just because she doesn't value herself, doesn't give the reason to be so fucking selfish. Believe me, I can be what Miss V is, probably even nastier. I just choose not to do it because I want to respect people's feelings as much as I hope people will respect mine.

To top it up, the issue of MONEY came up between mother and me.... she's demanding more plus now I have to start paying my PTPTN which means more than half of my salary goes to her each month now. Not covering my own food expenses, parking, phone bill and essential toiletries. This sucks really.... it sucks how that bitch keeps trying to guilt trip me. It sucks looking at people around me who are born with silver, gold, platinum spoons in their mouths, not tied to loans, get cars for birthday presents and churn out 32647453659 cosplay costumes.

So to get away from all this.... social pressure =3=, I went to do a bit of retail therapy.... My trusty Charles & Keiths broke down after 3 years. Not bad really, for something that I only paid RM80 for. I went around Sunway Pyramid and found new wedges from Payless ShoeSource, the largest family footwear retailer in the US. They work with some of America's fashion designers to come up with new collections but you know me, the comfort comes first =D

I could never wear RM30-40 shoes that people get from cheap sales =/ cuz my feel are kinda flat with wide toe area so those shoes would hurt me after an hour or two. Really happy with my shoes :D. On Sunday after camp, I dropped by Times Square to check out Room8008's store. Wanted to get the pink off shoulder casual top from her but end up buying other things to replace in my wardrobe =/

First impulse purchase lol! Pipit Zakka Store brought in a series of handmade Batu Seremban (which is sold out in a matter of 3 days WTF!). They were released on Thursday and now completely sold out the heck! I dropped by the store on Friday and there were only 3 left. I was hoping to get my hands on the green set and end up....

Went material hunting with Valkyrie and Shirae today. We walked through the usual Bunga Reben and Kamdar first then Shirae introduced us to high class fabric shops with cloth cost as high as RM300 per meter OAO;;;; Lots of pattern cloth available there, very suitable for baju kurungs XD Thankfully I cleared about 50% of my cosplay stuffs so I wasn't looking for anything. 

Whole day I thought I won't be spending on anything except food and travel but I was dead wrong TAT. We always bound to spend when there's cash in our pockets OTL. I dropped by Nature Republic to stock up on my acne stickers but sadly they were out of stock so the sales assistant introduced me to some ampoules and aloe vera gel for irritated/acne skin.

Oooooh look what followed me home! T__T

Total for both items is about RM70 T_T and I'm really not happy with my impulse purchase *sobs* so these products better work!!!

Oh yea, that would be the sound of money flying out from my bank account T_T. March is all about paying for stuffs orz. I have 4 costumes to pay for all within this month. 1 for Sawachi, 2 for RAGE and 1 for CF. Yes it's a little early to be paying for CF costumes but tailors are getting so many requests that I had to pay early to secure my spot =( On top of that I've been buying more clothes!

Asymmetrical fad!

I don't know how but I ended up with THREE asymmetrical skirts. Oh yes now I remember, the skirts were on 50% discount! So yes, GET!!! XD;; Now I'm selling off the black skirt cuz I've got another 3 black skirts in my closet. 

Been combing through vintage sites looking for a vintage dress I could wear too :3 Finally found one from Cute Granny Vintage Do check out their site as they have many interesting vintage dresses =D

Then just yesterday I went to Uniqlo to hunt black jeans for one of my characters. Uniqlo marks down their old stock for jeans but they don't announce it so it's your luck if you find any XD My first pair of jeans was about RM79.90 after 3 weeks of hunting. Most of the jeans marked down are size 21-23cm =A=;; and I'm about another 1-2 sizes bigger (oh fatty me T_T) 

Lucky me, I found a pair of black jeans marked down at RM69.90 *o*~ and it fit me~ hehe~ When the cashier scanned the code, the price appeared was RM49.90 OAO!!! So lucky~~~ I still had to top up another RM10 for alterations but that's okay~ It's still a hell lot cheaper~~~~

My Black World

Black for many various things. I'm still feeling a bit gloomy after yesterday's incident but the arrival of package diverted my thoughts for a while! I'll spare you guys the details and head on to the juicy stuffs I've been buying =D

My emo world!!!!

I went shopping a bit to hunt a few more pieces for my dress and everything turned out to be black. The pressure from the fashion world made me cave in to get those silly clutches cuz it would've been stupid to carry my Japanese school bag for a dinner T_T. Bought a Pashmina to cover my fatty bits too since I'm resting from gym for about a month.... Very happy with the scarf =D it's 70% pashmina and 30% silk. Got it for RM20 which was quite cheap as I saw the same scarf in Kenanga Mall for RM39.90 WTF.

I've never wanted to get these kind of clutches honestly. 1. they're FLAT! I don't know what can I put inside. 2. They're crazy expensive going from RM50-RM65 for something that I can barely put anything in, it's just plain ridiculous. Or maybe I'm just cheapskate. I got this bag at a clearance sale so it was going at RM30 :3 plus it was at an acceptable size for me. Didn't want it looking so huge beside my body D:. 

End up I'm still sticking to my word that I don't like such clutches. It's too flat and I can't put much things without the clutch bulging and going out of shape =( but good bargain. Anyone wanna take this off my hands? =P

Last item is an Alexander McQueen inspired clutch! It's so rocking gorgeous that I immediately ordered with no second thoughts! I pre-ordered this from Somewear Blogshop so I had to wait for 3 weeks. Do visit their shop as they have lots of really nice stuff! I'm eyeing those Gucci inspired belts 8D~~~

This is a bag which can be a weapon at the same time!!! 8D *staring at the rings in glee* Got this at Rm50 and it's much much much much muuuuuuuuccccchhhhh more worth it!!! 8D Surprisingly this bag came with its own dust bag too o_o I've bought bags RM70+ and it comes in cheap plastic >_<. Kudos to awesome service from the blogshop >w<
