So We Went To This Scandalous Event

So last week I went to my first ACG event (I guess it could be classified as that? lol) of the year. Decided to do something simple to move around easily. I ghetto cosplayed Shinobu from Junjou Romantica so that I can get the chance to test the eyebrow wax I got from a friend last year.

Pretty boy? 8D *gets whacked*

Oh the wax was a bitch to use orz and I need more bloody practice =( especially on drawing the eyebrows part ugh! 

So back to the event.... this event was honestly very badly promoted.... almost as bad as AFKL with all the anal and self contradicting nitty grits. The fee was ridiculously high and doesn't justify the amount of activities lined up for the event. The location was ridiculously far, about 40-50km from KL =A=. By now you'd probably be wondering why did I bother to haul my ass to the event when it already sounds so bad. Well.... I was just curious since this event had a certain theme to it. 

Event was quite small, about 120ppl max that attended? I'm not sure. We went 2 rounds around the area and then started rotting from boredom XD;;

Good thing was, it was easier for me to catch up with friends this event was small. There were shota butlers bringing food into the hall to sell. The food was also not bad and reasonably priced which was a plus for me. I didn't get to eat the food cuz they were sold out by the time I was hungry T_T such a pity.... They had sandwiches, cupcakes and ONIGIRIIIII >(

Those who were bored and had nothing to do brought and shared scandalous material =D I hope those pages aren't where the excitement starts XD;;;

By the time we reached home, we were so dead tired. Boredom really saps a lot of energy.... =3= Now working towards the photoshoot in which I need to get rid of my proximity issues asap OAO

Welcoming The Autumn With Spring Colors

Shu Uemura embraces the Fall with a burst of purple and green hues. Honestly I was caught off guard when I saw the promotional poster in Shu Uemura outlets, I was thinking 'Is this some belated Spring collection? @A@;;'. Other cosmetic brands introduced dark and neutral colors for the fall season but Shu Uemura stepped out with flower power full force =D. Eye candy for this collection includes:

The launch was only held in certain outlets =(. I RSVP-ed for the launch in Empire but I KO-ed after the sale so I couldn't rush in time. Lucky there was another launch on Sunday at Pavilion, 3pm. I forgot how small Shu uemura's kiosk is D8 and thank gods not all 40 people came for the launch. It was so cramped and the SA were only interested in entertaining customers who are buying the products. The decorations weren't up yet but they were setting up the food *_*b

They totally abused the flowers left, right, centre D8. Mini tarts.

Yes as you can see there's TONS of flowers orz and they're all edible. I didn't dare to eat them but YL did rofl. While we were eating, we suddenly spotted something colorful *o* and other people were crowding around it.

For the rest of the common fold who just want to hoard the free food and goodies, we are allowed to pick either a pin or a hair tie instead as a gift =P

The event was a bit sad. Mainly it was for customers to mingle around. There was no demonstration on how to use the palette. Even the SA's were not wearing the fake eyelashes =(, they had this 'lan si face' most of the time cis. We left around 4 to raid the cosmetic counters in Parkson. Note to self, never attend launches in Pavilion D:

Good thing from this launch is the goodie bag I guess. Another bottle of cleansing oil and a bottle of lotion and emulsion from the DeepSea Hydrability range.

1 <3 Hada Labo Event! Oh The Happiness!!!

I am so glad I registered for Hada Labo's exclusive event! Hada Labo had an event which is only opened to the first 35 people who registered *_*. I was a bit reluctant to go at first since need to pay RM20 fee and I was broke but when I saw the venue (Fukuya Japanese Cuisine!) and the prices of the food there, I thought to my self wat the heck! and immediately signed up for it.

Audrey drove us there and the car jockey service was free since we were there for an event *w* We registered ourselves and was given a huge card where we had to fill our details, sign 1 <3 Hada Labo in the most creative away and tell in less than 15 words why we love Hada Labo @A@;;

We were treated to a photoshoot but the requirement is to pose with the blue heart XD;;

While waiting for all the lucky 35 people to arrive, me and Audrey went jakun around the premises.

Tempura~~~~~ I tried a bit of the scallop but it's not my thing I guess >< This is a lot of food to be shared among 2-3 people. Our table had 5 people so we had 2 sets of each tray. There was leftovers ;__; what a waste *sobs* We were served with Macha Green Tea ice-cream for dessert *_* but I forgot to take a picture.

During our meal, there was a presentation of Hada Labo's product range and the description of how each range works.

There was also a Lucky Draw session and then a hands on demonstration of how Hada Lado's lotion works. The staff measured our moisture level before applying the lotion and then measured again after the lotion application. My moisture level was 29.4% before and it shot up to 50.4% after using the lotion XD;; If the reading is indeed true then this is a hell lot better than Laneige's Water Bank range! The participant with the biggest difference of moisture level wins a prize haha! The winner's moisture level was from 21% boosted to 70% @A@ wth.

After the demo session, we were given a goodie bag each *o*/ I got excited when I saw the box inside!!!!! It felt like there was a lot of items *_* Audrey opened her goodie bag immediately haha.

Clean Slate!

Today is the day of the CleanStart launch =D! NZX is a horribly dead place wtf thank god we weren't lost. I'm full of regret for not dragging Jared into the event. I should've pestered and kidnapped Audrey as well D8. Good venue, good food, good goodie bags! *squeals*

The food! Served: Tuna sandwich with oh so much fillings~, spaghetti cream based, black pepper sausages, deep fried fish fillets and various cakes for dessert.

Yes they gave this to EVERY participant of the launch @A@. There's a T-shirt and it's S size. I pity the rest if they received the S size shirts too cuz they're baby tees and a little tight on me @A@, imagine it on the aunties or other girls. 2 Complimentary passes from TGV XD, samples from Dermalogica and a trial pack of Clean Start!

Dermalogica travel size set that consists of cleanser, toner and moisturiser plus a sample pack of 4 to combat ageing skin.

Finally, the travel sized pack of CleanStart 8D which is worth RM188. So happened I asked the price of the trial set and they were selling this very set omg.

It's Christmas in Dior

Last Saturday I attended the Dior Christmas Party. It was more of a launch of their latest collection: Cristal Boreale Collection for Holiday 2009. For Christmas 09, Christian Dior collaborated with Swarovski House to create the star product of this collection using the legendary Aurore Boréale crystal : “Cristal Boréal”

An oval shaped pendant adorned with 52 Swarovski crystals and 4 of them are Aurore Boréale crystals. Of course, this isn't just a necklace to be worn. Inside the pendant contains a crystal effect gloss. Sadly because of its mirror surface, I couldn't get a nice picture of the necklace without the words looking as though it's appearing twice.

The participants were all treated to makeovers using the latest Cristal Boreale Collection.

Hands on demonstration by one of the Dior make up artist followed by a Q & A session.

The event was pretty cozy and the make up artists were super friendly. We also received a door gift which was a trial set of Dior's HydraLife range and I got their IconicShow mascara from their lucky draw~

We Do Not Fear H1N1~!

I'm surprised I didn't spend anything on my trip to melaka! 8D (except food). GACC this year brought me back to the old times in CF 2005 where I mingled and made tons of friends like a newbie, oh wait.. I was XD. Then in 2006 till 2008 I was in the comm so there was barely anytime to chat with anyone. Being photographer for once allowed gave me more freedom @_@

Special thanks to Eric for the KL-Melaka ride, Philip for bringing us around T_T (we're extra baggage orz) and Cuti.com for reserving Kings for us 3 weeks to GACC!! 8D

Cake Madness and Sore Feet

FHM 2009 was awesome! =D Thanks to Ashlyn, I hogged her business card and got in~ Didn't know it was open to public on Friday which explains the por por and aunties behaving like starving African people =A=;;

Sensory Basics booth and their bathtub of awesomeness!! In the bathtub, there's a heck lot of samples mostly Crabtree & Evelyn and Acca Kappa toiletries. Body wash, lotion, shampoos and contidioner =D This was my main mission for going to the convention >D

Where we get to try ice-blended drinks and coffee with their syrups. Thank god I snapped this pic early cuz all the hungry aunty and por por crowding and waiting for the free sample drink =_=;;

The perks of registering for a business tag =P. Chatted a little with one of the owners and he asked the barista to make me a cup of of their premium coffee =D I was impressed that they served it like this XD and when I started to snap pics like some jakun, the barista made more for me *fallsover*
