My Black World

Black for many various things. I'm still feeling a bit gloomy after yesterday's incident but the arrival of package diverted my thoughts for a while! I'll spare you guys the details and head on to the juicy stuffs I've been buying =D

My emo world!!!!

I went shopping a bit to hunt a few more pieces for my dress and everything turned out to be black. The pressure from the fashion world made me cave in to get those silly clutches cuz it would've been stupid to carry my Japanese school bag for a dinner T_T. Bought a Pashmina to cover my fatty bits too since I'm resting from gym for about a month.... Very happy with the scarf =D it's 70% pashmina and 30% silk. Got it for RM20 which was quite cheap as I saw the same scarf in Kenanga Mall for RM39.90 WTF.

I've never wanted to get these kind of clutches honestly. 1. they're FLAT! I don't know what can I put inside. 2. They're crazy expensive going from RM50-RM65 for something that I can barely put anything in, it's just plain ridiculous. Or maybe I'm just cheapskate. I got this bag at a clearance sale so it was going at RM30 :3 plus it was at an acceptable size for me. Didn't want it looking so huge beside my body D:.

End up I'm still sticking to my word that I don't like such clutches. It's too flat and I can't put much things without the clutch bulging and going out of shape =( but good bargain. Anyone wanna take this off my hands? =P

Last item is an Alexander McQueen inspired clutch! It's so rocking gorgeous that I immediately ordered with no second thoughts! I pre-ordered this from Somewear Blogshop so I had to wait for 3 weeks. Do visit their shop as they have lots of really nice stuff! I'm eyeing those Gucci inspired belts 8D~~~

Pig Out @ The Hungry Hog

Valentines? Roses? Chocolate??? What the fuck is that? Yea yea call me the Valentine Grinch but the idea of having a day specifically just to buy my darling's love with roses and chocolates is such a turn off. True I did that in my freshmen year with my first but that was pretty much it. I'm not a big fan of receiving roses as well.... it's 10 minutes of happiness then the rest of the day pondering where to place the roses only to throw them when they wilt. Such a waste isn't it? (I think by now boyfie is super sad? lol)

I did receive chocolate though =P but not from Jared

Not as a Valentine gift though, got it as a souvenir from her trip to Rome XD;; Packaging is really weird with the cats on the box. Googled a bit and found out these chocolates are called Cat Tongues which is Katzenzungen in German. These chocolates are a treat in European countries and the chocolates are shaped in cat tongues. Thanks for the souvenir, Jia Chee~

While some couples flocked to posh restaurants during this commercialized event, we decided to go for a bacon fest at The Hungry Hog. Been dying to try the place for some time and people said the food is quite good. I got goosebumps when I read a foursquare tip about a hugeass cockroach climbing up someone's leg but it was too late! Already there waiting for Jared lololol

This week marks the end of the long string of holidays T___T No more public holidays till May!!! *sobs* this is why I can't go to Singapore yet XD;;; I'm just so pampered by Malaysian public holidays hehe~ We had Monday and Tuesday as a holiday so I thought of heading out for some market research~

Had a nasty fall on Monday followed by a fever, cough, cold and diarrhea in the next 24 hours.... Let me introduce you to my new best friends...

The lipbalm was a life savior, one of the best I've used. Should probably put it on my review list :D. Being sick didn't stop me from doing my other shiz!

Party was held at Marche! I've never been to the place but have read up on their Marketplace Dining concept so was curious to try.

We were given a passport at the entrance and it gets stamped after every order. At the end of the meal, the passport will be given to the cashier to calculate X3 It's like dining at a very expensive food court with better food XD;;

Beef bacon rosti!!! :D

The only place I know that has rosti besides Outpost cafe which closed some time ago. The rosti wasn't very crispy and it's horribly oily but for this much and RM14.90, it's not too bad :D. I have such a huge rosti craving now T_T;; I'm gonna hunt every single cafe in KL that sells rosti next!

It all started when....

Colleague: *shows Doraemon World event info*
Me: Wah RM35 leh so expensive T_T somemore in Genting
Colleague: You get a Limited Edition TnG Doraemon card leh
Me: .....LETS GO!

And that was how I was suckered to go to Doraemon World by my colleague. We went on Saturday with a party of 3~~

The tour was conducted in CHINESE (WTFISH!?!?!?!?) so I was lost in translation bohoo! We only had about 3 minutes in each setting and the most annoying part was that people kept taking pictures of them IN the set D: uhhhhh I think it looks much better without you humans in it!! T_T By the time I took the pics, the tour was moving to the next set #^$@#@^$&$#!!!

After the tour, we were left on our own to explore Nerima Street. Here you'll find the ever so popular Dorayaki store and other booths selling merchandise. The custom TnG card booth has the longest like T3T so I didn't get to go and make my Ryoma or Sanzo TnG T3T.

Next was the Doraemon Carnival, the money sucking part of the event aside from the Mall lol. It's pretty much a fun fair with a Doraemon Theme~ We were just in time for the show which was only at 1pm, 5pm and 8pm. No pictures of the fair but I have pictures of the performance :3

I'm very surprised they moved quite well in those costumes @_@ My friend recorded the performance so waiting for him to upload it hehe~

The journey wasn't over since we had to survive another long queue back to the Skyway! *cries* it was a 45min wait this time =( I think all together we wasted almost 4 hours in just queuing. What's more disappointing is that people were disappointed about the event! If only these disappointed people didn't go for the event, I don't think we'd have to queue that long T3T.

Locked In A Tower

My Chinese New Year hasn't been enjoyable so far but I hope everyone else had a blast collecting angpow, stuffing yourselves with food and gambling your hard earned angpows away =D. I had to bring my ass to Ipoh this CNY since I've been avoiding all Ipoh trips with my family the whole of last year. See, ever since my grandma passed away, mum has been having loads of problems with my grandpa. The house ain't very big so the rest of us could feel the tension during the whole trip. Turns out this trip is as stressful as what I experienced during my last trip. We'd be sitting at the dinner table and not a word is said.... but let me not bore you with my family problems.

Once I touched KL soil, I immediately told my parents I had to work and escaped to office for the last few days of the holiday. Anything is better than being around my mum!

I took lots of photos of my trip but they were mostly pictures of dogs and cats I chased after =P

Meals at Ipoh were too luxurious for my taste.....I live a simple life when it comes to food so things like deer meat and pig intestines don't appeal to me =( I ate a lot less compared to what I usually eat. Instead of gaining a few pounds, I think I lost a bit, which is good I guess hehe.

Lou sang is a must for last 2 weeks XD I had 3 so far. 1 with grandparents, 1 with parents friends and 1 with office~

Resolutions? What's That?

People normally reflect what they did for the year in December but I only had the chance to really evaluate myself recently and I'm quite happy with my 2011. It was the best year for me so far mainly because my life had a very good balance. Among the things I did this year:

1. 1 step up my career path
2. Signed up for tennis lessons
3. Getting my own digicam (DSLR next!)
4. Joined a gym
5. Quit CF
6. Got in touch with a lot of old friends
7. COSPLAYED ;A;
8. Feeling VERY distant with my current close friends (ok nothing satisfying about this)

Yea.... roughly a 3/4 summary of my year :3 I'm hoping for a good 2012 but from what I can see, it's gonna be a very shaky year for me.

Review: BeautyFoot Day 3 to the End

Call me lazy! But yes the thought of 7 posts full of my feet peeling aren't very pretty so I crammed them all into 1 post. That and also I was too lazy to blog the progress all of a sudden orz. So sorry for leaving my blog unattended for more than a month but I had a pretty exciting month that kept me out most of the time XD;; Moving on to the review!

Day 3

As you can see the skin has started peeling after my shower. An important lesson learned on that day... DO NOT PEEL THE SKIN NO MATTER HOW TEMPTED YOU ARE. I picked at my skin for a good 45 minutes. From this, I peeled till almost half of the skin on my feet are gone, leaving brand new skin in the open orz. The parts of the new skin felt a bit sensitive since I forced peeled it T_T. Really, it's not hard or painful to peel it off. Just a little tug and it comes off and I went on a peeling spree orz.

Day 4

Day 4, the skin is peeling worse than a snake shedding its skin lol! This is the result of me peeling like crazy ~_~;;; The fact that my feet was constantly exposed to water during the rainy season increased the peeling process. This photo is also taken after my shower but I trimmed as much skin as I could before going to bed. Wouldn't want my bed or house to be littered with skin =P

Day 5

There's not much skin to trim off for that day but I do detect a sour odor from my feet >_> which I suspect it's because of the decomposed skin being left there for days. Thank gods I wore flip flops most of the day. Halfway throughout Day 6 I finished peeling all the skin so there wasn't any picture to take T_T;; but the top of my toes were still shedding and there was a bit more left by the end of the week.

My bad for not updating!!! I admit I've been lazy =/ After washing the gel off, my feet felt like it was coated with a tight layer of wax lol. The next day, I saw skin cracks forming all over my toes.

Today has been a great day so I decided to blog a bit about Esmeria's Alpine Willowherb range. I took quite a long break from blogging since I was having trouble expressing myself and my busy schedule can't allow me to sit down and mull over what to write. Esmeria is the first Malaysian Ecocert certified skin care brand. their aim is to have personal care products that are both eco-friendly and affordable! I requested my sample through their website and you'll have to answer the quiz which prescribes a suitable range for you. My skin is forever oily as far as I've known so it's no surprise that I got the Alpine and Willowherb range.

The Alpine Willowherb range is for Oily and Acne skin and the range comes with the 3 basics, cleansing gel, toner and moisturizing solution. I'll only be reviewing the cleansing gel and moisturizing solution.

First thing that I noticed was that the sample sachet I receive was made from paper so I gave it +2 points! Firstly, it's recyclable and secondly, it's MUCH easier to tear the sachet off since our hands will be wet by the time we want to open the sachet to use.

The gel texture was a lot smoother compared to other gel cleansers I've used. I suspect it's because of the aloe vera leaf juice which was one of the ingredients that made the gel 'glide' easily over my face. The way I described it seems funny but it's the best I can do =(. The sachet I received last about 3-4 days and within that period, I noticed that my face looked less red and my pimples shrunk a little =). It didn't help much with the oil controlling as my face was back to being oily after 2 hours.

Latest Buys Because I'm Bored

While people are busy at Animangaki or Anicom, I woke up late with tons of washing to do so decided to stay home and now I'm dying from boredom *sigh*. Trying to remove the eyeliner stain from my Seigaku jersey but it hasn't been working so far grrrrr. Since we're on the topic of my cosplay stuffs, I'm just gonna show a little shopping I did for my cosplay.

NYX lipsticks!

I was looking for a nude lipstick for Ryoma and figure it'll be cheaper than buying from the pharmacy. On top of the nude lipstick, I also picked up a frosty pink lipstick on the way just to make the best out of the PosLaju charges.

2 NYX lipsticks in shade Circe and Harmonica

I was torn between the shade Honey and Circe as I've tried Honey before and it fitted me perfectly but Circe has always been a choice among most of my friends. One thing I leaned from my purchase is that the swatches on the website can't be trusted!!!

Circe seems to be chocolate brown while Harmonica is like a Strawberry Milk kind of pink. Slightly darker than the actual product colors. The magic continues when I tried swiping it! As I suspected, Circe was too dark on my lips but damage controlled with just dabbing a bit off my compact powder to my lips and whalla! Perfect blending~

Harmonica was a bit of a downer. I saw the swatches from other blogs and it seemed like a really nice color but when I tried it on I looked like a ganguro lacking the dark foundation. I looked terrible so no photos were snapped XD;; The color might look better if I combine it with a dark colored lipgloss. I'll try experimenting the posting up a makeup test T_T;;

Kou Xiang Bak Kut Teh

Suppose to share this last week but I got lazy thanks to.... GINTAMAAAAA. Swing's brother has kindly lent me his external and I leeched 200+ episodes of Gintama and other rubbish XD so see me quiet for a month or so 8D.

During the raya holidays, I ate nothing but Chinese food >_<. We decided to try for some Bak Kut Teh that night and found quite a number of stores in Taman Connaught. If you tried Foursquaring there, you'll find 6 or 7 BKT places XD;;

I had to ask Jared to read the name which is another reason why this post was delayed @_@

The shop occupies outside a closed coffee shop. I didn't get a name of the coffee shop but if it helps, it's beside BHP petrol station.

Our portion of lean meat for 2. The serving is a bit different compared to other stores. This doesn't come with lettuce, taufu or mushrooms. This pot has nothing but lean meat.

Total came up to about RM60+ for the 3 of us. So pricey but that's because of the stew port ;__; Wouldn't mind coming back for the pork though! XD

I just finished watching the recently released OVA and I found this video from the same user

Tenipuri 100 song marathon AAAAAAAA *insert super loud screams here* It's like a dream to hear them sing live!!!! I'm surprised that Naru Kawamoto (Takeshi Kawamura) and Masaya Onosaka (Takeshi Momoshiro) sound so bloody good live!!! All of them are so hyper and jumpy and even after 10 years they still sound fantastic!!!!

I also just found out that the DVD cost almost RM400 *goes cry a river* so I'll have to settle ripping from Youtube and finding a way to combine them!!!

Ipoh: Onsen & Food

Selamat Hari Raya peopleeee~!!!! >w< It is kinda late from me and I'm sorry T3T. While everyone is busy visiting their relatives and friends, I've been celebrating Raya like CNY by feasting on more Chinese food OTL. I just realized today that I've yet to eat any Lemang with Rendang =( On the first day of Raya, we went on a one day trip to Ipoh mainly to go play in the Tambun Hot Springs.

Found out that the hot springs is open all day but if we want to go to the hot springs only then we can only enter from 6pm to 10pm. To enter in the day time, we have to purchase the the full theme park tickets =_=;; which includes the wet park and hot springs but it's an extra RM30 per person. Decided it was not worth going to the wet park so we went sight seeing around Ipoh first.

We decided on bean sprouts and chicken for lunch since it might be too late to head to the city by the time we're done with the hot springs. Funny thing about Ipoh is that the same shops will be in the same row. All the Taugeh Ayam shops are along one street. Same thing for funeral parlors too 8D;; There can be 7-8 funeral parlors in one street XD;; That was where we ended up parking since the Taugeh Ayam Street was packed to the brim.

Looks like everyone had the same thought.... Lou Wong and Onn Kee are the top 2 Taugeh Ayam stores. We decided to go to Onn Kee instead as it's slightly less packed compared to Lou Wong. It took us about 20 minutes to get seated @_@ because each table was 'guarded' by the next group and another hour before our food came because they messed up our orders =(.

By the time we were done, it was almost 4pm!!! So we took a quick detour to find a clean toilet before heading back to Tambun.

Changing in the toilets was another nightmare since it was wet and crowded with people but thankfully I've learnt to change using only a towel *o*~ oh and an oversized shirt too XD;; Locker rentals were at cut throat prices so we piled all our valuables and change of clothes into the locker and brought our bags around. It was RM10 per locker!!! and it was small! D; Sunway I hate you so >_>. After 7, there's less people. Got some nice shots at night with the pretty lights~ The hot spring has a few pools with temperatures ranging from 37C to 45C.

The Crystal Pool which is 40C. This pool has the lion sprouting water from its mouth. Very nice to sit under it and let the water massage your head XD

Lastly, the hottest and the smallest pool know as the jacuzzi. Waters are about 43C but we all think it's a lie because it was much hotter and feels almost scalding hot when we dipped our feet in. The orange lights in the pool made it look like we're dipping in lava *_*

Best shot at the hot springs, a geyser sprouting out right above the steam room *_* It comes every hour so we had to keep in check with the guard on the time so that I can get the shot XD

After we're satisfied with our lobster dips, we went for dinner at Kam Wan Food Court, also known as Tung Ku Teng. I love this food court and I used to visit the place for supper. It's quite lively at night like 118 or Ming Tien XD;;

I started with dessert first and it ruined my appetite OTL. The caramel was burnt so it was bitter sweet ._.

Between Bleeding or Aching

After 3 years of having braces, I think my teeth are throwing a silent tantrum.... My teeth started aching whenever I eat cold or hot things. Now this is a huge problem since whatever I eat is either cold or hot unless I eat everything in room temperature >_>;; so I picked up Sensodyne a couple of weeks ago.

I just wanted to make an entry to show pretty packaging 8D

Picked up the smallest (and so happens the most expensive) tube I could find. t's about an extra RM3 compared to their standard pink or green range. There's no clear difference to me other than the packaging and the prices, all of them end up protecting your teeth ~_~. I bought this tube just because of its unique printing so yea... kill me! DX

The tube doesn't look like toothpaste too @_@ I thought it was a face wash and it doesn't help that the toothpaste is now together with my skin care bottles XD;; All my care items are a bunch of tongue twisting brands *_* I now use Sebamed face wash, Systema toothbrush and Sensodyne toothpaste @A@;; pening babi sia....

The toothpaste does help a lot with my teeth but the toothpaste doesn't lather up like normal toothpaste so there's no 'lubricant' when I brush my teeth which ends up making my gums bleed since my toothbrush bristles are a lot smaller. The only way I can think of avoiding bleeding gums is to brush even softer =_=;; and hope the dirt gets scrubbed off OTL

Dammit, cosplay and work has been taking me away from my blogging lol. I've been so busy preparing for the photoshoot last week. Based on the characters and costume, it may seem easy but what we wanted to achieve was hard =/. I took up gym just to tone up for my character. 2 months in the gym and there's a slight difference. I'm glad it all paid off =). I spent about 2-4 weeks scouting for the perfect tennis bag because the one that came from Taobao was a badminton bag @A@;;

Next was tons and tons and TONS of research to perfect our poses to be as close as our characters. Thank god both of us have basic (VERY basic) tennis training back in high school so we just have to practice and to get as close as possible.

The only thing I like about living in Malaysia? The gazillion holidays we get for the ever stupid reasons XD Today was a holiday for me *w* but some of my friends were unfortunate to have to go to work today haha. Still, I still didn't ditch my routine. Woke up at 8.45 and went to gym for my dose of workouts then flew to Bangi to collect my tennis bag.

I've been scouting for this bag at almost all the tennis shops. Well not really all, I targeted the ones that are highly recommended by the tennis community since I can bargain with these shops and they're quite reasonably priced. I wanted this bag for my cosplay project and also as an upgrade since my old bag is too small. I bought the Yonex Tournament Series 2010 for RM96 after discount which was a good bargain =D

6 racket compartment

Even though I only have 2 rackets, the other compartment is for me to store tennis balls, towel and water. There's still space for my shoes and valuables too! :3 So I can pretty much bring only this bag to the court.

Oh! and last night me and Johnny were treated buka puasa and premiere tickets to a movie!

But first, we gotta fill our stomachs!

The makan was buffet style filled with a mixture of Malay/Chinese/Western dishes. Nothing much to rave about there but I particularly like one of the desserts.

Sago and gula melaka

The dessert was nice and sweet but I find the sago too sticky so the gula melaka doesn't coat nicely around the sago when I cut the sago. The movie started at 9pm mostly snippets of the tour concert, fan testimonials and behind the scenes with the cast. I'm a bit sad that they didn't play some of the really good songs >< and Sue Sylvester didn't make an appearance!!! Probably she thought that the movie sucks so bad that she didn't wanna play a part of it XD. I really enjoyed the fan testimonials, only thing I hope is that it's not fake XD;;

Every weekend (well the past 2 weekends so far lol) has been dedicated to tennis practice since the shoot is 2 weeks away *_*. Gosh I still don't feel ready. I still have my wristband to paint and Ponta can to think over. Last week's game was terrible since it's just me and Terence so we had to play singles and boy we sucked! None of us have the reflexes to play singles. Terence kept throwing cross shots and I spent most of the time sprinting and chasing after balls ;_; and my ankle has yet to heal which makes things tougher. The game ended up not being very enjoyable for the both of us. *sigh* Anyway have a shot of the game 2 weeks ago.

Finally got a new camera too during the weekend. No more yellow pictures and dark photos yay! *o*. After poking people for opinions and scouting around, I settled for a Panasonic Lumix LX5. Got it really cheap during the Lelong fair and it came with a cleaning kit which other sellers don't offer *w*. I'll be collecting my leather case this Thursday =). First thing I did was to take some night shots outside my house XD so will probably upload it on FB :3

Finally I had a bite of Humble Beginnings Mille Crepe!

After so long, I finally decided to just buy a whole Mille Crepe from Humble Beginnings. Bought it as a small celebration for the piece of good news at work~ =D I selected the French Vanilla added on with Fresh Strawberries. The cake is a lot more creamier and I'm surprised my boss liked it o_O. I like that the cake isn't too sweet but I still prefer my cake to be a little more solid. There's 2 more slices sitting in my fridge. Breakfast for the next 2 days? =P

Oh and this post shall be the last tribute to my old camera 8D. Next post onwards shall be taking pics with my new camera wohoo~

Pump It Up!

I feel lazyyyyyy. There's nothing but tennis and POT swimming in my head since I've yet to develop the storyboard for the upcoming shoot. We had a trial run last week and we ended up playing for 3 hours! Not bad really. I'm very surprised with my stamina and heck I could still go on! *_*b We improved much more compared to when we were at school XD;; The balls don't fly out of the gate anymore, our rackets didn't collide, my upper hand serve enters the service box finally! *_* About 3 weeks left till the actual shoot. Sent my wig for styling, can't wait for the outcome! =D I'm still feeling so 'gung ho' from the session.

Gym has been good too. I did my measurements last week and found out I gained a bit of weight and I gained a hell lot of muscle too and only at 3 weeks of progress =D I suspect it might get a little slower from here on hehe.

This week will be any bust week for me. I'm so tempted to put blogging on a hiatus *gets kicked*. I have a presentation due next week and it's about a bloody thick brochure to present so I have to practice from tomorrow onwards. On top of fulfilling the visits to gym 3 times a week, I have to run to Bangdar this Thursday to check out the new stock of Yonex bags. I just hope it's either the Tourny Basic series, the Pro series in blue or black or else I'm screwed >_<.

Because Inglot was an ass now allowing me to take pictures, this post shall be a photo post about my life~ I went to Inglot, Sunway Pyramid to check their newly opened store. Well it's been open for more than a month but I didn't have the chance to visit till last week.

The store was spacious and I loved the range they had especially on the lippies and eyeshadow. Their freedom system palette is definitely something to rave about as you can customize your own palette and the price varies. Price wise, it's slightly lower compared to MAC. Only thing I could remember was the lippies cost RM50 and the eyeshadow was RM28. I'm eyeing their star product, the make up base which is priced at RM78 for 15ml. Now that one is a little pricey which is why I'm selling off my Smashbox primer before getting it.

The SA that attended to me didn't eye me like a scumbag unlike the rest of the lot. She knew what she was selling though she sounded a bit like a robot. Then again, it's better than having them stalk you around the store not saying a word. The part that was a bitch was when I wanted to take photos of the store. I think the supervisor eyed me like I was some upcoming brand manager stalking his top-secret-shop-that-no-one-has-pictures-off. Sad really..... no explanation given to why I wasn't allowed and I didn't tell them I wanted to take pictures for blogging. Shows how much they treat normal customers =(.

After my visit to Inglot, we went to Dragon-I to fill our stomachs since I've wanted to try their Siu Long Bao

Singapore In A Post

Can't say it's in a nutshell cuz this is definitely not some nutshell XD;; Singapore was more of a vacation for me than a work trip. A very stressful vacation because everything was in SGD and I had to think twice! =( Actually I don't think there should be much to think about cuz all of the items are down right expensive and I'm broke =(. I was stress from resisting everything that caught my eye T_T;;

But it's all over now and I survived. The most expensive thing I bought was the Ezylink card HAHAHA. The 7-11 cashier gave me a funny look when I asked her does the top up in the card have any expiry date. In summary:

1. Toilets oh toilets!
I'm already missing those super clean toilets in Singapore. Every. Single. Toilet is clean down to the toilets at those dodgy cafe corners. We were eating dinner at some noodle house in Bugis and their toilet is all white and way cleaner than my own toilet! Lololol.

2. Hotel
We were staying at Grand Pacific Hotel, formerly known as Allson Hotel. For a 4 star hotel, it's funny that they didn't have hotel when a mamak in KL can have their own wifi D: Putting that aside, the rooms were good, have a look =D

There were quite some funny incidents. My room was always colder than usual even though we remove the card that turns on the electricity but the creepiest incident was when the TV was on blaring at the loudest volume in the middle of the night. It was weird because normal when the TV is turned on, it goes back to channel 1 and at mid-volume but I woke up to find it on the last channel we watched and at the loudest volume =_=;;

Have I mentioned the showers were HEAVEN! The pressure and the temperature was just right! And there's handheld showers which I prefer compared to the stationary shower heads! The toiletries were shitty though... The conditioner shampoo brought my hair into tangles halfway. It hurt so much, I had to use my hair serum to detangle my hair. There were still tangles in the morning so I had to make my hair go through the serum ritual again.

3. Food

This time, I didn't have a bad experience with food. It's probably because we ate hotel and cafe food most of the time. Funny part was the Singapore branch took all of us to eat a local food buffet the moment we landed. The local food was all Malaysian food!!!! and the restaurant was playing BM and Hindi songs *facepalms*

Throughout the whole trip, we were fed 5 times a day *facepalms* There's breakfast, tea, lunch, TEA AGAIN then dinner *dies*. I gained about 2kg when I weighed myself. I'm silently hoping it's the muscle but fat chance XD;; Everyday I had bacon for breakfast. There was LOTS of bacon....

And now I'll be avoiding bacon for the next 6 months XD;;. I also drank a heck lot of water while I was in Singapore. Good for me but I kept going to the toilet. Now that I'm back in KL, it's back to mentally preparing and anticipating what we'll find in the cubicles ;_;

4. UNIVERSAL STUDIOSSSS

Now this deserves a post of it's own doesn't it XD;;

5. Training

This time, our training covered the very basic on using social media for business. Training took almost a full day and half of the people were playing with their phones.

6. Sight Seeing
We had time to go sight seeing at night during our trip in Singapore. The first night, I went out with Gwen to get Audrey's iPad, then I went hunting for Fanta which was a disappointment because they don't bring the can in. I traveled from Funan to Liang Court to Central then to Bugis for dinner. We were back in the hotel in 1 hour and 15 mins! Gods how I love the bus transportation there! *_*

On day 2, training ended earlier than expected so our MD took us on a tour to Marina Bay Sands. The place looks lovely. All of us spent time jakunning and taking photos.

Before Leaving

I'll be leaving in about 2 days time to Singapore for training so this is just another picture sharing post XD;; I have no mood to blog according to the days now since most of the time I forgot to take any pictures >w<

1. Makeup tests.
Now with office work a little quiet, I had the time to mess with my box at home XD;; I thought of trying out 3 colors instead of the usual 2 just for the heck of it and this was the outcome.

The 88 color palette I have wasn't really pigmented. I should really look into getting the Urban Decay primer for my next test since I've been using pencil eyeshadow as a base all this while and it tends to crease when my lids start to get oily. I only realized how unblended the pink eyeshadow looked after I uploaded the photos orz. I loved how the blending turned out nicely but just as Jia Chee pointed out, I should really work on the shape at the corner of my eyes, otherwise, I'd look like a panda.

2. Supply stock up
I won't say this was a visit to Popular for the sole purpose on stocking up on my office supplies XD;; We were there to get materials so that Jared could fix my Charles & Keith sandals *w*. The leather of the strap cracked so the wire poked through and keeps poking my leg giving me what it looks to be a puncture wound. We got some craft foam and UHU-ed it to the strap and now it's back to being my comfy old wedges XD.

While Jared was looking for scissors, I found this! *w* Animal stick-it notepads~ Was really interested in the white seal!!!

But I got this instead! Cute right?? XD

3. Having fun

Last week I went for Michy's birthday celebration in Tenshi Cafe, e-Curve. The place has definitely improved a little in terms of service but I still find the food so... pricey ;__; I'm starting to get fond of the curry rice there =D (but I can always go Pasta Zanmai for a cheaper alternative *gets whacked*)

*bounces in* Hello people!!! With so little stuff to talk about, I should just get a Tumblr and have a picture blog instead lol. This whole week I had a lot of things to complete and they're not even work related. Mostly like renewing car insurance, renew road tax, get signatures from the lawyer for my PTPTN forms, make appointment for my car polish and wax. Lots of things to do and LOTS of money flying away! This month I totally busted my salary and had to crack into my savings *sobs*

Nevermind! Hope for a better month. Now it's picture sharing time!

Long long week this has been >_<. We've just finished with our client's event so it'll prolly be slightly quiet for the next few weeks =D All my pictures I took during the week, never had the time to post them since I was rushing for the event. Thankfully I still had my weekends so my social life is not at stake! *_*b

Review: Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner and L'oreal Super Liner Liquid Eyeliner

I've been trying to experiment with guy makeup as I'm cosplaying a guy in my next photoshoot. Most importantly I have to get my character's eyes right which is why I've been experimenting with eyeliners lately. All this while I've been using my P2 Kohl Eyeliner as I normally just swipe it and smudge for a smokey eye look. Sadly this eyeliner can't last as it wears off after a while due to my oily lids so this eyeliner is a no-no for my photoshoot. Liquid/gel eyeliner is always the solution for a longer lasting, non-smudging application but my clumsy hands just won't allow me to swipe the brush over my lids in one straight line!

Arisa had kindly offered her gel eyeliner for me to experiment (thanks dear!) and I've also bought the L'oreal Super Liner recently when the item was on sale at Watsons =D

Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner

The eyeliner is in a glass pot and comes with a brush. Some would call it a more affordable version of Bobbi Brown's gel eyeliner but I can't vouch for that since I've yet to try Bobbi Brown's. The eyeliner retails for RM39.90 and comes in 3 colors: Black, Brown and Limited Edition Blue (which is gone by now unless you chance upon it at warehouse sales XD;;)

• Oil-free formula holds highly concentrated pigments in a clear gel base
• Smudge-proof and waterproof for 24 hours
• Most intense line for lasting drama
• Safe for sensitive eyes and ophthalmologist-tested
• Contact lens safe

I'm good with the long lasting and smudge-proof. I can't say it holds for 24 hours because I couldn't even keep the eyeliner on for an hour. Why? The problem lies in the brush. I really do appreciate that Maybelline includes the brush with the gel liner and it does pick up the gel really well. Upon swiping the brush on my lids, I found the brush to be really rough and scratchy. It hurt like a bitch when I tried applying on my water line. By the time I was done, my whole eye was twitching in irritation.

Removing the eyeliner was a real chore as well. It was just TOO stubborn. I used my Biore cleansing wipes followed by Shu Uemura's cleansing oil then topped it up with Fasio's makeup remover to remove every single bit of that eyeliner. Crazy but yea that finally did the trick =.=;; I guess that's how LONG-LASTING it is.

My advice: Keep the gel, ditch the brush. Just invest about RM15-20+ for a decent brush and save your eyes. My eyes were fine when I applied the liner with one of my own brushes. Just make sure you wash it immediately after application or else the gel will get stuck to the brush and damage it.

L'oreal Super Liner

Got this on discount so I only paid about RM30 which is cheaper than Maybelline's Gel Eyeliner hehe~ The product comes in a small sleek tube which is easy to bring around when traveling =D Comes in the standard colors of Black and Brown.

Superliner is a liquid eyeliner in a special sponge tipped pen for the creation of fine lines or thick, sultry flicks. Colour is applied with precision and ease and dries without smudging. Ophthalmologically tested.

The sponge tipped is hard and stiff(god that sounds horribly wrong) which makes it super easy to draw the lines! In fact, the applicator is so comfortable that I can just press the whole sponge onto my lid instead of slowly drawing the line like using a paintbrush. After drawing, it dries up pretty fast and lasted pretty long without any touch ups. Here's my favorite part! By the end of the day, I just rub the corner of my eye gently and then PEEL the whole eyeliner off my lids! XD I'm in love now! I do hope L'oreal won't discontinue this product because this is a real gem! *touch wood*

Clocking in 15 a Day

Wow July sure rolls in fast =/ My last week of June has been VERY hectic. Most of us leave office either close to midnight or past midnight and coming back to office at 9 in the morning and the cycle continues. I've never showered so fast in my entire life to spend as much hours as I can on bed. Washing hair became a problem too as my hair is long and it takes time to dry. I end up doing more work while waiting my hair to dry so I only sleep at 3am+ and waking up at 6.30am everyday T_T.

Well, thank god the week is over and surprisingly I still have the energy to go yamcha on Friday night and out on an early Saturday morning XD;;

Saturday morning I had to meet Johnny at Bukit Jalil to bring some work to one of our suppliers. After submitting the materials, we decided to have breakfast before going our separate ways.

Didn't feel like going home yet since mum was around so I went to MidValley to do some stuff. There was an exchange programme going on at Watsons where you bring your old bottle of shampoo and exchange it for a brand new Tsubaki shampoo (220ml) =D I only got to know the day before so early in the morning I quickly turned my house upside down for am empty bottle of shampoo. When I arrived there, there were mostly aunties and uncles exchanging the shampoo.... but it's okay! I shouldn't care AND I got my shampoo >3< *kisses*

Dropped by MNG as I saw the sign 'EVERYTHING AT 50%, 60% AND 70%' How to resist, right???? All the clothes were of my size and I saw those awesome high waist pants that I've been hunting. Too bad the size 6 fit me well but was choking me while the size 8 didn't look good on me =(. I settled for one chilli red MNG shirt/blouse instead. I noticed that I've gotten fat too... since I couldn't button the stomach area when I tried a size 6 blouse >_>;;

I'm loving the shirt right now =) It just screams handsome! and it only cost RM79 >w<

Yes! Sunday was the day I went to satisfy my curiosity with Victoria Rossa. After reading through the reviews, it seemed like a hidden gem that's worth discovering. Am blogging from office cuz I don't feel like going back~ There was a Victoria Rossa outlet in Pavilion but it closed down so we went to the Sri Hartamas outlet instead. When we arrived at the shopping center, we went to the directory to check which floor it's on and lo behold! It's not in the directory! o__O

Thank god I could look back at the blog links for directions (hurray data plan!) and found the place which was in the middle of all the shop rows o_o Kinda sad really.

The people we pretty engrossed with whatever that's in front of them that we almost had to seat ourselves. Jared says that it's the position of the kitchen and the dining area which is quite far apart. I just think that there's very few customers and about 4-5 staffs and no one looked out for us? >_>;;; C'mon..... I was already rating this place a B- for service by that time....

There was a really pretty corner with the shelves and plush sofas but they were chained up so I didn't have the heart to take picture of its sorry state D8. Deco was really pretty but ruined by the surrounding shops so the ambiance was totally ruined. As I flipped through the menu, I was shocked that the prices were jacked up ;_; They claim that people steal their pretty menu's which was why they changed to the laminated ones... now I know the real reason why! ;A; The high tea for a set for 2 was as expensive as the high tea at the Ritz Carlton so we decided to skip it and try some other a la carte stuff on the menu instead.

The butter cake and scone was a little crumby so it was messy to eat >_< and Jared's puff was made from simple ingredients yet tasted wonderful :3 Sorry, I have difficulty describing food D: They're either nice or just BAD LOL. The tea was a bit fruity complimented our meal very well :3 I wouldn't mind buying a pack home honestly =D The biggest problem here is the service really.... I can ignore the ambiance but the service is a HUGE turn off. Jared had to end up bringing the pot to the waiter to top up hot water. The crew didn't seem very pleasant honestly...... it's such a pity for such a nice place....

After tea, we went to Desa Sri hartamas as I wanted to check out some boutiques. Didn't find what I wanted but I found this darling cat that had such a cute meow >w<

I have a sudden whitehead outbreak on my chin and a huge cyst behind my left ear. The whiteheads are all stubborn and refuse to pop out and instead choose to stay on the surface like a mushroom. I kept scratching them off but they kept coming back!!! I should probably go for a facial to clear off the congested area once the cyst heals. Speaking of the cyst..... that's another one that came up randomly. I suspect it's from all the stress at work and the lack of sleep though I don't feel it mentally.

We got a whole truckload of work this month from our loyal client and that was the same time my chin got congested. Suspicious yes? Well in short, we have a couple of brochures and other items to finish up before the end of the month and the client isn't really helping when they throw the things at us right before they go on leave or business trips. *sighs*

Recently did my scaling too so my teeth are sorta clean now. The dentist said my gum infection was severe so advise me to finish my braces as soon as possible. I'm trying but the progress is slow =( and now I'm being shifted to be examined by another batch of doctors who are seemingly much more senior that the previous batch. It's been already 3 years T_T

Now I have to brush in between each teeth with this tiny thing EVERY DAY D8 just to keep it plaque free. I also kept a bottle of mouth wash in office to use during lunch. The dentist was also careless when attaching the wires to my teeth brackets so now I have the end of the wire hooking onto the walls of my mouth when I chew. Now I know how it feels like when a fish gets stuck onto the hook >_>. Pretty painful yea..... but I didn't realize it till the next day since my mouth was numb after treatment. Oh wells...... 3 more weeks to go.....

Just realized how much I spent at Watsons in less than a year. It was all the beauty drinks really.

Bought a Fila shirt and Pronic pants at Jusco during their JCard day. All together it cost less than RM50 and it's not because of POT! XD;; I'm a Fila shirt supporter before I got into Prince of Tennis XD


The next biggest haul after my racket. New set of Lancome Maqui Miracle foundation =). I asked for a Genifique sample too since I've been dying to test it out

Also got a Yayoi Kusama pouch with purchase above RM150 including any Lancome Teint Miracle or Maqui Miracle foundation =D It's so small that it's more fitting to be a coin pouch >_>. I tried stuffing my Lancome compact in and it fit nicely so yea... it'll be my compact protector since the pouch is covered with a thick sponge.

Hope my mood will be much better for the next few days. I just have to survive till the 8th of July >w<. And Ms. Audrey, if you're reading this, I just wanna inform you that we can execute our plan already as I've saved enough money to pay all at 1 shot XD;;

Mmmmmm yesterday I had a strong craving for Nasi Lemak so I dragged Johnny to the Bumbung Nasi Lemak store at SeaPark before our spontaneous trip to watch Green Lantern.

They shifted the tables from the parking lots to in between the shop lots. Feels like eating illegally XD;; I was tensed most of the time watching out for cockroaches ._. The incident in the lift last week really spooked me. For those who didn't know, I was with a friend in the lift when she spotted a cockroach. It was too late to get out so on impulse I screamed loudly >_>;; I'm horribly terrified of cockroaches. They're unpredictable with their movements and they always seem to approach you!

Anyways, next day I spent the day with Jared :3 We haven't had a proper date in 3 weeks thanks to CF *glares at Nerv* Had vegetarian at Annalakshimi before heading to the sports store to get my tennis racket and his grip tape replaced.

My new tennis racket is a Wilson N6 Hybrid. According to the person, it's most suited for beginners. The head is slightly larger than my previous racket and a hell lot lighter! Will be testing this baby out soon *w* I'm quite happy with this shop and the stuff is priced much cheaper *w*.

Balls and more balls~

Got the balls that the POT manga uses in their matches ufufufuf so bought it to be used as photoshoot prop~ and also for practice sessions XD. The red ball over there is a coaching ball that is softer and slightly bigger than a tennis ball. Because of the size and softness, it has a lower bounce and the ball will travel much slower which gives me more time to improve and adjust my strokes. Hope this would help me with training =D

Review: Nature Republic Tailor-Made Formula Concentration Patch

Blogging ALMOST feels like a chore these days because I found nothing worthy to blog about in my life. Most of the stuffs that happened are kinda short or lack of photos so I ended up not posting.

I found this patch interesting when I was stocking up on my acne stickers at Nature Republic so I bought it out of curiosity. Just as the name says, it's suppose to help with concentration so I thought I'll be able to use it on one of those sleepy days in office =P

The mask

The package is designed to tear off easily from the side. My first gripe about this mask....... everything on the back of the packaging is in KOREAN. To add on to my frustrations, there's barely any info on this patch that I could find online other than 'special patch for concentration' *rolls eyes*. I'm curious to know what are the active ingredients that claims to help in the concentration.... oh wells.

There's directions on how to use the mask on Nature Republic's website but I'll also put them here just in case.

DIRECTIONS:
1. After washing, apply toner
2. Peel clear film patch from backing
3. Fit on forehead and remove after 30 minutes to 1 hour
* Use 2-3 times a week for the best result.

There is the smell of Chinese herbs on the patch and it smells quite gentle-ish. I loved the cool feeling from the gelled area. It feels sticky but fraid not cuz it leaves no sticky residue! which is a huge plus point for me~ Overall I feel like I placed medicated flubber on my forehead haha.

No sadly I didn't feel like I could concentrate any better but we had fun doodling on the patch *flees* Well I guess it did solve my sleepy problem with the mess we made.Unfortunately, I can't find the picture of me with the doodled patch.

After 1 1/2 months of doing nothing at Gwen's house, I'm finally at my owner's place. Oh I'm sorry! How rude of me to not introduce myself. My name is Pusheen, the star of EverydayCute.com and now the pet of CandyliciousCat aka CandyCat.

Gwen squashed me in her bag with this hard box of cookies to be given to my owner >_o

The moment CandyCat got her cookies, she immediately hid them away from her family! o_o How stingy..... anyways, I know that they're hidden in the drawer in her office so I'll probably sneak a few nibbles when she goes out for meetings >D.

When I arrived at my owner's house, I was expecting to be showered with hugs and kisses and be placed at her side at all times. Well..... half of it came true.......

I got squashed and mauled by the other 3 residents of her bed T_T... and I got no hugs =( Her bolster gets her affection for the night *sighs*

End up I didn't sleep at night because the other 3 were as noisy as hell playing tag but I stayed right beside her to make sure no roaches come near her. My first night as her buddy so I must take good care of her! One day, I shall replace that bratty stinky bolster of hers! In the morning, I thought I'd be able to catch on some zzz's since I'll get to hog her pillow while she's at work but NOOOOOOOOO. She took me to work as well! *sadface*

Visiting Read Malaysia 2011

Last weekend I was busy, fortunately not preparing for another skit. I'm still a bit exhausted from Hari Belia and my throat is still clogged with phlegm. Talking is difficult with phlegm making its way up your throat >_o. This time, I was in the judge's seat for Read Malaysia's Cosplay competition together with Kikyo and Edo. All photos have been hijacked from other people because I'm too lazy to take any, that pretty much says something bout the event, no? Or it could be just me who can't stand using my lousy camera anymore.

Day 1 was for the solo category. I'm happy that there's more variety in the pool of contestants instead of it being populated by the popular characters. Contestants were required to do a skit not exceeding 5min. Categories for the competition: Best Cosplayer, Best Skit, Best Costume, and Best Group.

Day 2 was for the group category which then turned into solo/group category as the prizes applied to both categories. In conclusion, as quoted from Kikyo 'could do better', harsh but true. I'm surprised that cosplayers aren't aware how important it is to make sure that their audio is clear enough. I'm sure it doesn't cost much to invest in a good mic *stares at her RM12 mic*.

After the competition, I stayed around to listen to Shio's performance. Manage to have some pictures with friends XD;;

Performance WIP and the Works

I needed a MC just to kick myself to write a post. Shows how lazy I am lol. Nothing serious, just a fever from a viral infection. Anyways, this is a WIP post of our skit performance last weekend for Hari Belia Cosplay Comp. It was sort of a last minute thing so we entered the most simple costume EVER, K-On. Bet ya no one expected us to get a placing =P. Photos are a mixture of Audrey's and mine.

We made use of dad's mini recording studio.

The mixer is just for show XP but the mic is not. The mic is GOD. It's so bloody clear and blocks out a lot of noise! For a small mic, we underestimated the fella! Took me a few days to sync all the audio and added all those last minute effects and 2 days of practice. Very little time to practice I know since we're working, our only option was the weekend. The next problem came was finding the instrument. I wasted one week since I couldn't find Azusa's guitar so I had to rewrite the whole bloody script. Thank god the recording was done after I revised the script. Anyways, we switched the instrument focus to Mugi's keyboard since it's easier to find a keyboard. For that, we thank Michy and Ngin for loaning/helping us!

We ended up using the one Ngin got for us. I'm sorry Michy!!! ;_; but your keyboard was too small for Audrey TwT. Skit went quite smoothly for the prelims. Our only problem is that the location was bloody hot!!! Hooray for simple costumes XD

Our nightmare for finals.

Words were picked out from a dictionary for the finals. Obviously we opted for the word 'better' cuz 'better' is better! *flees* Then came the nightmare of coming up with a script, recording AND practicing in less than 24 hours. Prelims ended at 5pm and finals began at 11am the next day @A@ so there wasn't much time for a breather right?

WRONG! We came back, took a shower, ate dinner AND WATCHED CSI + HOUSE FOR 4 HOURS x_X, all because I had a writers block. I thought watching TV could give me an idea but it went on till midnight XD;;;;

Recording didn't take that long since the skit was much shorter and we were already in the character moods after the prelims. The tedious part was editing the audio since I had more sound effects to add in.

Supper break at 2am.

Edited the audio till about 4am+ and by then I was already quite tired. It didn't help that Audrey was sleeping beside me too ;_; so we went to bed with the audio only 70% complete T_T. Woke up at 7am to finish up the audio and was only done around 8.30am OTL.

We had to leave for Putrajaya by 10am so you can imagine how much time we had to practice ;_;. We continued practicing under the tree beside the polis trafik while waiting for the competition to start LOL. Not surprised that our performance didn't turn out as well as our prelims >_< Ah wells, I guess I shall be grateful for getting a placing at least =D I knew it was gonna be difficult since we were at a BIG disadvantage with our simple costumes.

After the comp, we dropped by the ~~Anal Ro-~~ I mean Read Malaysia to see how is it going

Definitely a tiring weekend and worth it for what we got, but I think I'm too old for this OTL

Dinner at Maiu Japanese Restaurant

Yesterday we got an invite for an annual dinner organized by one of our suppliers so me and Johnny went for the dinner after work. Maiu Japanese restaurant was formerly known as Umai-ya Japanese Restaurant. Explains why we couldn't find the place and the organizer spelled the restaurant's name wrongly LOL.

It Gets Closer

This week will be a very stressful week for me. Stress coming from both directions, work and personal life. Lots of editing to do, more practice and more chopping. I hope this will be all worth it T_T. I'm aiming so high yet my work is not up to quality *headdesks*. I hope my efforts will all be worth it >_<.

Went to C2AGE today, it felt like a CF Sri Sedaya version. Roamed around and chatted with people I've never talked to for eons. Surprisingly I manage to kill time till 7pm lol. I got myself a book too while I was browsing Borders.

*scratches head* Yes... it's a book on essential Mandarin lol

At the rate it goes, I can't afford to go to Mandarin classes for now and if I want to try Singapore in 3-4 years, I'll have to start now since I've such a slow brain.

Late Night Dim Sum @ Kedai Kopi Mee Bon

Back in the old days (I feel like 40 now), dad would lure us to wake up early if we wanted to go have dim sum. The shops near our area would serve dim sum early in the morning and would close by 10am and dad, being the foodie would try and tempt us to go with him since he can't really manage by himself.

Last weekend, dad had dim sum cravings again. He's been talking about dim sum for the past few weeks so all of us decided to go for dim sum for dinner (yay no more kicking us to wake up at 7am! lol). So I found myself at Jalan Ipoh on a Saturday night at one of dad's favorite shops, Kedai Kopi Mee Bon.

The shop has been around for about 20 years and sells dim sum day and night to as late as 2-3am. The place used to be very popular but now there's less crowd due to the lack of variety and parking spaces. Speaking of variety this shop sells only steamed dim sum so people like me would be slightly disappointed XD;;

Sounds so wrong doesn't it? XD;; This happened back in February but I'm only allowed to post it after April :3. Jared got invited to Richard's house for some Rosti so I tagged along.

I finally got my hands on this holy grail item since Jon went to Korea. It's priced at RM59.90 here which is a big wound for me to spend on a mask that small >_<;; but it costs like half the price in Korea. Sense, it makes none! =(

When I first used it, I'm sad to say that I was one of the few (or many?) that got conned by the mask word! I opened the tub and was surprised to find the 'mask' pretty hard so I scrapped out some and scrubbed it on my dry face!!! Oh boy, sand paper could compete with that thing! Lesson learnt, read the directions behind! XD;;

Directions: After cleansing, apply the mask to lightly wet face (avoid eye and lip area). Gently press and massage. Leave it for 10-15 minutes and then rinse well with water.

I tried again the second time and it was muchhhhh betterrrrrr. At the beginning, the scrub feels really rough on the face so do massage it VERY gently for those with sensitive skin. As I massaged my face, I could feel the granules slowly melting so I massaged till all the sugar melted then washed it off.

My skin felt really nice and clean =D and I love the scent of the black sugar. Overall I'd say it's a pretty decent scrub but not with the price tag that comes along with it. Then again, I can't say it's expensive since I bought Laneige's Peeling Gel *gets smacked* Honestly, if you ask me to compare between the two, I'd still use both but I'll just use the peeling gel more often since the sugar scrub is quite harsh for me.

Joining The Macaroon Trend

Like how Longchamp is taking over KL, the same goes for macaroons. Lately, I noticed more local or smaller bakeries introducing this tiny piece of luxury into their menus. I first got to know about macaroons last year and that time I only knew they were available from Nathalie's Gourmet Studio and Godiva. It didn't take long for the rest of the bakeries to join the bandwagon like Whisk Espresso Bar + Bake Shop, Levain Boulangerie Patisserie, Molten Lava, and even local blogshop bakery ThatLastSlice introduced macaroons early this year.

It's not grumbling, I'm more than happy to see more desserts being introduced =D which is why this post is about another shop that's introducing macaroons!

The store at Isetan, KLCC

I was loitering around KLCC, killing time since I had 2 hours before ComedyThursday @ Zouk. I saw the notice that Isetan had a Dessert Fair. So being the stupid curious kepoh cat I was, I went up to see what they had to offer and I spotted Dessert's Bar with their booth~! I've always been a fan of their Strawberry Panna Cotta since they use really good fresh strawberries.

They were surprisingly, the cheapest macaroons I've seen! 4 for RM10, 10 for RM22 and 25 for RM48. After pacing back and forth thinking should I buy and also talking to Audrey for about 10 minutes, I decided to try some (poor sales guy XD;;)

Half colors cuz they ran out of coloring LOL No really, that's what he told me.

Some of the flavors available: Black Sesame, Green Tea, Cheese, Apricot, Honey Sunflower, Chocolate Mint and Lemon Chocolate Cheese.

For 4, you get it wrapped in a plastic.

Talk about inconsistency lol. Some of the macaroons are bigger while some are flatter but wider. You can see the obvious difference between the purple macaroon and green macaroon. Taste is somewhat meh like Molten Lava's.... just cheaper =P and it crumbles very easily which makes it difficult to eat for a small snack. After being pampered by Nathalie's, I can't look at other macaroons anymore T__T but Nathalie's macaroons are priced at RM4.40 for one DX which is RM1 more on an average for each bite. Damn... it's as painful as thinking whether to pump RON97 or RON95 for your car XP.

Dessert's Bar is only selling the macaroons at their booth at Isetan, KLCC but they'll soon be available at their outlets =)

Wow... almost 10 days of not blogging. Once I stop, it's really hard to go back to frequently updating my blog. I normally arrange to not have more than one post a day but ended up by the time comes, I don't have the mood to blog any longer.... hence the hiatus in between my posts XD;;

This time, not only I didn't have the mood to blog, I had to go back to Ipoh as well during the weekend so that was 3-4 days of no posts. Now I'm back with a life update before I put up 2 reviews and a Nerf experience.

Aishop had a Facebook promo last week for their fans. The promo is based on the amount of likes they can gather within a certain period. If they reached their targeted likes, the product will be discounted according to the target =D Guess what was the product?!?!?!?! It was the famed Zamian: Gold Cacao Pack Mask!!!and I manage to grab the promo price of RM39.90 since the page reached over 100 likes~! XD A real lucky shot since if the page gathers over 200 likes, the product will drop to RM19.90! I'm guessing everyone was waiting for the product to get more likes XD;; Sadly it didn't, so the lowest price was RM39.90! hur hur~

I got the 2 pieces of handmade soap for free too :3 One is cacao and the other is camelia. The stuff arrived carefully bubble wrapped in the parcel. Sad that the soaps don't have individual packing so I have to keep it in the bubble wrap.

Ipoh as usual wasn't a very pleasant trip. My parents decided to go by KTM this time and the train stopped at every. bloody. station. The frequent change in speed makes it very difficult for my to sleep =( As I was about to really doze off, the train comes to a stop at a station =A=. That's not the end of my nasty trip to Ipoh... the whole time I was there, I suffered from a runny nose since the air cond is too cold and the place is full of dust. 20 years of collected dust in the house ain't gonna vanish in just months *sighs*

And I manage to score a Limited Edition plushie for myself! :3 Damn my lop-sided glasses >w< The plushie is quite bouncy..... should make a good stress ball >D I'm so happy that the makeup artists covered up all my acne scars *_* This photo is unphotoshopped, heck I never photoshop my photos!

One of the MAC makeup artists, Evelyn, gave me a makeover using the Quite Cute collection. I only had the pink shadow on as I was dressed all in pink for the occasion XD;; She applied the lipstick in Quite Cute shade for me but honestly... I look like a gyaru with that lipstick so I settled with the Plushglass in Bubble Tea which is a creamy pale nude shade. The neutral color from the Plushglass helps cancel out the shocking color from the lipstick which gave me a nice pale pink shade for my lips.

The whole collection is just too 'gyaru' for my taste but I wouldn't mind having the Plushglass and the Mineralize Blush to my collection :3 The lipstick colors looks horrible on me but it looks okay on the models and the makeup artists ._. Evelyn said that the lipstick will look horrible on yourself but will look fine on others. I don't know where did that logic came from but I'm not gonna wear a lipstick that I can't be confident in D:

Pokainess in the Month of April

So many nice promo's for this month too!

Ok that wasn't much. The one that killed the most were my car repairs. My car skidded on the SPRINT highway (again!) thanks to my awesome driving. The SPRINT highway is normally very free in the direction heading to KL. On that particular day, it just rained so the roads were wet and I didn't expect a jam up ahead so I jammed on the breaks which caused the car to skid. When I tried to press the accelerator, both the accelerator and the breaks were locked as though blocked by something @A@. I turned off the engine and restarted again and the car turned out fine @A@. Now I'm wondering whether its some locking mechanism for the car =/

The next day, I sent the car for a check up. Tried the service center at Kepong since I had the coupon for a full check up at a discounted price =D. They did a thorough check up and found that my car battery needs changing and also my gear oil is leaking. All in all the cost went to RM490 in total but I'm planning to push the gear oil change to next month T_T. My car battery hasn't been changed since the day I bought my car so that was more urgent XD;; Plus the service guy said the gear oil is still good to go.

So overall, I'm horribly pokai T_T especially for April/May. Gah *pulls hair* my cosplay plans get delayed again. I'm wondering whether should I just try my luck in Singapore, my living expenses gets to be reduced by half D8. My mind keeps wondering how do I save up for a house? how can I even save for a new laptop? HOW CAN I EVEN SAVE WHEN MONEY FLIES FOR EXPENSES AND NECESSITIES!!!!! *pulls hair*

For those who are on my Facebook, you've seen me spazzing about the latest addition to my accessory stash :3 Now, after sending it for shooting (friend has a better camera =P) I can finally show you what I got~! \>w</. Lancome had a Snap & Win competition where all you had to do is pop by your nearest Lancome counter and request for a makeover. Then snap your picture before and after then email it to Lancome.

I got to know about it on the last day of the competition and they had 10 Sereni & Shentel hairbands to give away! How could I just let the chance slide =D. I had been curious to own a S&S hairband myself to examine why is it so bloody expensive ;w;. So on the last day of the competition, I rushed to the Lancome counter at MidValley and had my Miracle Maqui makeover~!

My submission~

I loved the result from the foundation! My acne scars are almost completely covered and the redness on my T-zone is gone, gone, gone! This is a perfect foundation for me to wear to work as it's very light, I almost forgot I was wearing foundation when I wiped my face with a tissue.

I got to know that I was one of the winners last Tuesday. You can imagine my excitement of finally owning a Sereni & Shentel hairband after stalking their site for months~! XD The package finally arrived on Thursday, very fast! *_*b

Raub We Go

Had a trip to Raub with colleagues last weekend. It was suppose to be a casual trip but turned into an office photography trip lol. I've been delaying this post cuz there's tons of pictures ;_; We left KL at 7am and arrived at Raub around 9am. From here onwards, it'll mostly be a picture post.

I'm the last person you'd wanna take to eat Indian food cuz most of their food doesn't agree with me >w<. I don't know how to eat Curry Fish Head so I picked out the vege and tofu. The fried chicken was a little dry and tough for me but I think it's the Indian style cuz that's how I find the chicken to be in the Indian stalls I eat at.

Puma Social Club Night

Got a late invite from Silvy on this. I was very interested to go at first but the more details I got, the more reluctant I was to go since I perceived that it would be another typical drinking and partying event. Since Silvy was going,I thought why not? I can always go dine at the restaurants around there if I'm uncomfortable with the place. We had dinner at a nearby mamak before heading to the venue.

Thank you Silvy for sharing her macaroons with meeeee T_T After getting to know the place for over a year, I finally got a taste of the macaroons and indeed they were so delicious and one step above all the other placed that sell macaroons!!!! TAT

The PUMA Social Clum Tour initially started at Palete Pallette and made pit-stops at Monkey Bar, Penang and Cafe Roost Juice + Bar, Johor before making its way back to Kuala Lumpur as a platform for sport enthusiasts to gather to play fun sports and games together. This time, the Puma Social Night is held at Black Box, Map @ Publika, Solaris Dutamas.

After we registered, we were given a press kit and a PUMA Social Card. The objective is to collect as many stamps by competing with an opponent ovr a game of sports or participate in the games. The number of stamps differs depending on whether you win or not and who your competitor is.

The place was quite empty at the beginning so both of us took on a game of Ping Pong on the mini table and boy we sucked! I think my legs had a good workout chasing after the balls XD;; We went to the VIP area to get some drinks and have a rest. Guests were all served cold Hineken beers and cocktails with some light refreshments. Unfortunately I couldn't see what they were since the place is so dark T_T.

By 10pm, the whole place started to get crowded. In fact.... the VIP area is more crowded that the normal area so me and Silvy decided to step out and chat instead. There were stage games conducted by Ben and Phat Fabes, DJ's of the FlyFM Pagi Show where all the contestants will get goodie bags for their pariticipation. Damn I should've joined but the place got so crowded ;A; Guests also had a chance to play with some of the stars of the event such as DJs Hackeem, Anowl, Droolotte Tasha and Biggie, Rina Omar, Zain Saidin and many more in exchange for points on their scorecard.

Mixture of Good and Bad

My day hasn't been going well since Sunday. I had trouble with my orthodontist as they keep demanding more money from me =_=. I returned my fallen tooth bracket in exchange for a band (a bracket stuck onto a band that will be around your tooth). They've never charged me for the past 2 bands but they suddenly demanded RM50 for this wtf..... Then the stupid dentist trimmed by teeth and he accidentally trimmed my fucking gums too... shit that hurt like a bitch...... Best part? He said it was probably the sucker (something to suck out all the nonsense in my mouth) that touched my gums and maybe my gums were so sensitive so they bled. What fucking bullshit is that?!? It was bleeding for a good 5 minutes and I still tasted blood when I left the place!!!

Now I'm looking to see if there's any orthodontist who's willing to take half-done cases. Of course I'm expecting them to charge too and I'm willing to pay rather that sticking to the orthodontist who keeps demanding money when I've already fully paid the agreed amount.

Then few nights ago, I dreamed about that unforgivable bastard. Every time I dream about him, my mood goes down to the bottomless pit for god knows how long. I hate this so much...... I still pray so hard that he'll fuck up and be miserable for the rest of his life. Or maybe I can accidentally run over him on the highway and watch his guts spill on the road.

By now, there's a few things that's keeping my mood up.... my wigs has arrived and I'm expecting my skirt some time next week but the best part? PUSHEEN PLUSHIE IS OUTTTTTTT =D

Raiding The Meat Experts @ Hartamas Shopping Centre

Yeah~! On Saturday, the whole geng went to redeem our vouchers at The Meat Experts. MyDeal.com.my has a deal 50 % OFF Cash Voucher for ANYTHING from the Deli or the Menu for only RM35 instead of RM70! So of course I made calls around and pestered them to buy >w<b 1107 vouchers sold out in 12 hours! I'm glad I got mine quite early 8D.

We decided to eat at TME for dinner. Thank god I made a reservation instead of walking in. The place was kinda small with only around 10-20 tables in the restaurant.

Me and Jared arrived first so we went up to the counter. Immediately the girl told us 'sorry we're full' WTF At least ask us if we made any reservations (Aha~ and lucky we did!). Their menu is not really extensive because the price of the meat differs. You could order mains like pasta or ribs in the menu or opt for a more customized plate by picking a a selection of meat from the deli. Price is based by grams and type of meat. There's also cooking charges of RM2 for every 100g.

Jared's TME Ribs served with a healthy dose of salad and mashed potatoes. A bit difficult for me to eat but the rest say it's really nice!

Justin's Parmesan Pork with mashed potatoes and vege. Tasted like breaded meat to me, nothing special really. I love the mashed potatoes though 8D or Ezel calls it, fluffed potatoes.

The cold cut platter recommended by the chef. A selection of cold meat based on the chef's recommendation. Problem is, we don't know which is which except for the Pistachio Ham.

I insisted on a plate of salad much to Ezel's dislike 8D. My Caesar Salad of garden greens, topped with cheese, salami and so-called-croutons. Dammit that's bread not croutons!!!! T_T

We all had a problem trying to find out which sausage is which orz. The extra hot sausage didn't end up being extra hot D8. The most it did was just to irritate my ulcer ._.

Go Vegetarian At Annalakshmi

Jared told me about this delicious vegetarian place in Brickfields that had a eat-and-pay-as-you-wish so we made a date to go and try since I had to do my threading there. The place is located at Jalan Berhala, Temple of Fine Arts. Do note that you have to be dressed appropriately, meaning no slippers and short pants =D

This was really surprising as a place with such concept, I was expecting open door concepts with plastic tables and chairs, well... you get what I mean XD;; The place was quite cold that day with soothing music in the background. We were ushered to a table to place our things before heading to the buffet table.

People here were very well-mannered :3 They were all queuing for their turn and waited paitiently even if there was one person holding up the line, they waited instead of pushing themselves in between people to fill the gaps. I'm sorry to day I can't name anything that's on the table D8 they were all in Indian terms and I didn't know what was inside the dish ;_; I kept asking Jared 'what is this? what is that?' D8. Ended up I just took stuff that LOOKS edible for me XD;;

The tofu had some bitter aftertaste, thank gods the Dhall I took helped me drown the taste x_X I also accidentally bit into a chili seed that was in the mixed vege ;_; and ended up snot and tears coming out of my left nostril and eye. There were items that we could order as well and was also on the eat-and-pay-as-you-wish concept. We ordered a Mango Lassi each which I personally felt like I was drinking concentrated mango juice but it was okay. I couldn't stop attacking the papadam's 8D such an addiction~

I noticed I did my number 2 much easily after the meal XD;;;; might just think of going back once every 2 weeks since I'll have to go there for threading anyways =)

Weekends are so precious to me >3<;; Been feeling so down at work because I like to play a lot DX I've just been feeling so darn lazy with my mum egging me on the credit card and PTPTN loan that I felt like screaming at her to fuck off. Last Saturday, Comic Fiesta organized held a charity event called Project Harapan where all the money will be donated to help Japan. I didn't plan to go but Arisa was bringing her eyelashes and Raincloud wanted to pass me the costume so I ended up dragging my ass up 7.30 in the morning on a lovely Saturday to Audrey's house. Thank gods I wasn't driving or I would've fallen asleep on the wheel.

Got bored after a while so I went to the Craft Bazaar at BFree, Mentari Business Park. Damn.... I didnt think it would be that far to walk and I was walking in my 4 inch wedges. By the time I made it back to TOA, my legs were shaking so much =3=;;;

Nothing of interest to me since it's a craft supply bazaar. For those who like making crafts, you can check out this place next time. There was this cute girl that handed me a packet of buttons with her name card attached onto it XD;; Omg her voice was so squeaky, I thought she's 12 or something >w<

After the event, we had dinner at Kalamazoo. This place is gonna be my fav hangout place soon! ;A; I'm just so in love with the food, the price and the waitress lololol. I has no photos since my cam is so bad under yellow light =/. On the way back, we raided Ngin's place to molest Mehmeh.

Been so busy getting hounded during the weekday that I lost my interest to blog for a while.... well add my Angry Birds obsession into the equation, there goes a full week of no updates haha.

Busy cleaning the office bit by bit too. Lots more to do, thank god we have young men in the office now >D

The weekend was a wonderful day of shopping and lots of eating involved DX. My stomach wasn't feeling very well but it was much better by dinner time so I got to enjoy the food fully at Kalamazoo Cafe!

The owners each resided in the States between five to ten years. A couple of years after their return, they realized they missed those days so much and decided to recreate them here, thus Cafe Kalamazoo was born.

Kalamazoo Cafe is located at Aman Suria, beside Betty's Midwest Kitchen. Originally we were suppose to join Ezel and the rest at Betty's but since we arrived late, the guys were finished and the waiting line was just so horribly long, we decided to retreat to Kalamazoo, suggested by Shaun.

The interior looks like a university bar, very nice and cosy =D. The wall full of polaroids there are pictures of the Western Michigan Alumni visitors. The menu had.... had..... had pork! which gives it a double plus! d*_*b

My pork lasagna. It's so soft :3 and perfect for me with braces. The egg and potato salad is really nice too. It really looks like a pile of mush

Meals are not complete without dessert! (and because we were still hungry) We ordered a chewy brownie. The taste of chocolate is so overpowering, I should've said yes to the ice cream offer >_<

After looking at these shitty pictures, I should really consider getting a better camera x_X Pictures are all horrible especially under yellow lighting =/.

I bought a polka dot vintage skirt and a nice white top yesterday =P A bit pricey but worth it! >w< Suppose to have a skirt coming in this week and waiting for my wigs too =/ Gods with all these spendings, it's no wonder I can't save >A<. Ok, I shall keep a ledger book starting April! >_<

Talked to my mum earlier too, will be sending my gypsy skirts for repair in May to one of my relatives so I can save marnee! *_*b

Experience at Beauty Works

Yesterday, I went for my overdue facial at Beauty Works. I bought the deal from Everyday.com for RM50 for 2 facials. The place was at Jalan Jalil Perkasa 14 and the staff there weren't very helpful in giving directions =/. I later on found out on GoogleMaps that it's formerly known as Jalan 14/155B.

The place is in quite a new area. No pictures of inside the salon as it's quite dim.

Hoho they places a sensor along the stairs so the moment you are about to reach the top, the door bell rings and alerts the staff so there's no waiting! 8D I was greeted by Penny who ushered me into one of the facial rooms to undress. The room was small but cozy, there was a nice fluffy thick robe for me to wear *w*.

Beauty Works specializes on facial treatments using Soothys from Paris. There's more than 20 signature Soothys available at Beauty Works. The coupon I bought entitles me to receive 2 times trial of their Personalized Beaute Treatment (60 minutes), Active Eye Treatment (30 mins), Essential Neck Therapy (30 mins) and Luscious Lip Treatment (10 mins).

Somehow the timeline didn't seem to fit with what I'm entitled to. After a short consultation, the beautician said that she'll be doing the Purifying Treatment for that day which is to cleanse my skin. Somehow I have a problem when it comes to doing facials..... the language barrier *sighs* The beautician could only talk in Cantonese so I barely scrape by in understanding what she was talking about.

I must say... the extraction was horribly painful till there was tears in my eyes. Never before I've reacted that way towards extractions. She even stuck the extracting thing up my nose wtf o_o;;. After the extraction, she applied lotion plus the mask and proceed with the shoulder massage...... without cleansing my face again @A@;; The procedures felt a bit weird but I shrugged it off since the mask has to be cleansed away later on.

After my treatment, I was given some tea while the beautician explained the facial courses they have. She recommended me the RM988 package which consist of 6 full course Sothys treatment and there's a free gift of a bottle of Sothys cleansing milk (500ml) with purchase of the course. Honestly, I'm not keen on going through that extraction again and RM988 for six treatments is just too steep for my pocket. I do love the effect of Sothys products on my face *w* but they're so expensive >A<

Buys and More Buys!

I've been sorting out my accessories this week. In between.... I also bought some OTL.

One of the latest additions to my box, elephant earrings! 8D God damn these were cute and they were an impulse buy! I lost my earrings I first got from Poh Kong which means I don't have any replacements at all since the rest of my earrings were all fancy ones so I dragged Jared out and we went for some earring hunting.

Since we were at 1Utama, I took the chance to try the original Churros with chocolate dip at Molten Lava. Honestly, it's not as nice as the filled Churros and they gave so little chocolate dip T_T

My zip lock bags arrived the next day so I immediately turned my house upside down to find all my earrings, necklaces and bracelets and pack them.

I went back to the Curve bazaar this week and got myself the ring I was eying on last week XD;;

Had dessert at Dome but I just wanna show how creamy the foam is. Starbucks and Coffee Bean is suppose to achieve this level but all I get are normally empty bubbly foam pfft.

After my bad case of cysts outbreak last year, I had another cyst growing a couple of weeks ago. I was hoping it would shrink once it reaches its... maximum size? but the cyst kept growing and it hurt a lot too D8. There were some thin areas along the cyst where the blood was clotting around protected only by a layer of skin so I tried to perform 'surgery' on myself again. I did manage to drain some of the puss out but the cyst showed no sign of shrinking.

Feeling dejected, I did a quick search online to see what medication can be used to treat cysts and found that most of the forumers on Acne.org use Hydrocortisone 1% which is commonly used to treat skin inflammation and itching. I made a mental note to get it the next time I drop by the pharmacy since I was in no hurry. So happened I was at Watsons, Sunway Pyramid and the pharmacist was in! (yes they always seem to be missing most of the time) so I quickly asked her for it since the Watsons staff can't touch the prescription meds cabinet D8.

She recommended me Fucidin-H which has a combination of antibiotics and corticosteroid which is slightly milder than hydrocortisone but according to her, the antibiotics would help reduce the cyst. Thank god cuz I really wanted to avoid going to the docs and having a round of antibiotic tablets just to get it down >_<

Although the dosage is milder than Hydrocortisone 1%, it's still a steroid cream so you should never use it for more than 7 days. The pharmacist recommended me to apply 3 times a day which is kinda a lot for me o_o so I only applied once a day before bed. I started to notice the effects by the second day =D My cyst shrunk by 40%! and by the 5th day, it was almost flat so I stopped the cream but the cyst continued to shrink! *_*

I'm not putting this under reviews since it's not some product you can buy on a whim but it's just something I'll recommend to my readers with troubled skin. I have no photos though but I swear on my heart that this thing works! I'm totally regretting visiting the skin specialist last year since he prescribed me pills that cost me RM110 AND it didn't work!

Fucidin-H is manufactured by LEO Pharma Inc, a Danish research-based pharmaceutical company which specializes in dermatology and critical care. The cream is RM14.20 and available in the local pharmacies =D

Foodful Weekend

Typing this post quick before I go to bed =D My whole weekend was sort of productive. Didn't get much of my cosplay stuffs done. I snapped a lot of pictures but many of them turned out blur so the only pics I manage to salvage were the foodie pics hence the post title >_>;;

Friday we went to Sushi Zanmai for a little celebration since Jared received his paycheck. Instead of having bentos, we ordered sushi~~~~ and I found a new favorite~

Tamago mentai~~~~ Cheap, generous fillings and DELICIOUS~ I forgot what is in this mouthful of goodness, must remember to ask Jared again 8D

Sunday was also a food outing. Me and Audrey pretty much drove around Damansara-PJ to get stuffs. From my dentist to Tropicana Mall to 1 Utama to E-Curve XD

Got to try the infamous Churros from Molten Lava. It's no wonder blogger rave about them, they're seriously good! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and the one Audrey ordered had Caramel filling in it! =D

My TomYam Fried Rice that I ordered from the cafe as well while waiting for Guki. It tasted above average for cafe food and I'm honestly surprised =D My only complaint is that the vege stalks and tomatoes were huge though >_> but the chicken is nice and soft. Again it's a surprise for me cuz I've never liked the way chicken is prepared whenever I eat outdoors.

After exchanging the stuffs with Guki, we made our way to E-Curve. Boy, the jam was a bit heavy since it was only 1 lane but the parking was hell! We ended up stalking someone and got a parking spot near the entrance, lucky~! Combed through the bazaar to look for accessories but couldn't find anything worthwhile. I did found a very beautiful Iris ring though =) It was a bunch of Iris flowers in dark purple, light purple and white clumped together but the ring costs RM20 *sobs*. I hope it'll be there next month =( (fat chance!)

We had tea at Tenshi No Cafe since I was curious about the cafe concept. The whole cafe was decorated in pink and the maids were pretty much high class hostess made up from underage looking girls who doesn't smile =( (Some of them don't look pretty either TwT). They talk so soft that I could barely hear what were they saying DX Gods, it's as if they were talking to themselves. The place smelled of oil, heck our whole bodies reeked of oil by the end of the visit T_T.

The food was pretty pricey so we didn't dare to order anything but Darrell says the food is good. As we sat down, we were presented with the 10 commandments of do's and don'ts to a maid WTF?! Talk about hostility man....... I'll take my money to Sushi Zanmai or Zen Jap Restaurant anytime. People have been complimenting this cafe to high heavens but I honestly don't see what's so good about the place other than the pretty maid uniforms.

*yawns* ok that pretty much settles where I've been eating all weekend. My bed calls~

Added Things Into My Life

First half of March has been quite eventful for me. No surprises that I'm flat fucking broke now x_X Dammit I wish I can climb up that career ladder as fast as I can spend my money XD;; This is cuz I bought my 2 months supply of that beauty drink but it was a good bargain =D. Also, I've finally saved enough got my brand new shoes~

So me and Jared paid a visit to the sports shop in Pyramid and god be damned, their service is pathetic. The supervisor was just looking at us while not providing any assistance while the salesgirl was trying to do her best but she seemed like she didn't know the product very well. I mean, this is not just some item that costs RM50, it's a RM300 sport shoe and you can't convince me that it'll be worth my 300 =/.

The next day we went to the New Balance outlet in 1Utama. Deng we got lied too =/ The outlet in Gardens is a HELL lot bigger than this TAT. There were quite a lot of shoppers surprisingly and I came just in time too cuz the sale just started! *_* The salesgirl as usual promoted the 860 to us but she told us there's some on discount ohohoho *_*. After debating and calculating the value difference, I ended up with the 760 series =D

Tadaa! The 760 won me over only because the 860 is only available in fuchsia and the difference in price is so much @_@

They sure have weird laces, forgot to ask them what's the reason.

Still many things to do this month~ Heading to the E-Curve bazaar tomorrow and hopefully I can do the makeup test next week. I've still yet to settle my cosplay cloth orz which I hope to buy by the end of this month TwT

Shopping and Sobbing

In a corner far faaar away (for me) there was a cafe called Molten Lava by Lavalicious. The first thing that caught my eye was the display area that displayed rows of macaroons! I remember that Mika would die for macaroons so I originally bought some to make her jealous but ended up she forced me to do this review *sobs*

I ended up bringing 5 of these little ones home. I got the durian, green tea, chocolate ganache, salted caramel and vanilla. The macaroons were RM3 per pc and if you buy 6 pcs and above, they'll pack it in a box. Otherwise, into the bag it goes.

Them macaroons with the store's name card. Pardon the melamine plate, apparently my whole house doesn't even have a glass plate XD;;

I can't review for the durian because I bought it for my mum. She ate the whole thing in one mouthful and complained it was too sweet ._.;; The vanilla tasted a little artificial for me so I didn't quite like it, same goes for the green tea. I could barely taste any green tea from it. The salted caramel and chocolate ganache was nice =D. This is my first time eating a macaroon and honestly I don't know what makes a good macaroon but I found the green tea, chocolate ganache and vanilla cookie was too crumby.

Upon digging further, I found out that Molten Lava specialized in Churros which is also known as a Spanish doughnut. The original Churros come with chocolate dip but Molten Lava brings in Churros with an assortment of dips and other styles to try. Blogger KrazyGal3 wrote about her experience eating the Churros in Molten Lava. I might be just tempted to go back there for a try 8D.

Another Adventure~

After our Broga expedition, we decided to visit Ulu Yam next =D. I thought of going at 7am at first but since Jared said 10am I thought, why not since I could use the extra hours of sleep *w*. Both sides had some mishaps so we only left around 11.30am OTL. We saw a lot of food shops and touristy places on the way! (Zoo and Batu Caves lol)

Reached the area after driving through the uncomfortable windy road x_X Fee is RM1 for adults, 50 cents for kids. I couldn't pass as a kid =( so I'm an adult midget!

Looks like a recreation park lol. I was expecting a hike to the falls XD;;

We had to cross this suspension bridge to get to the other side of the river. The bridge was swaying so much >A< Till now I'm not sure if it's someone deliberately swaying it or he bridge was not sturdy enough to handle all of us walking on it.

We packed some food to eat there. Brunch consisted of McD's family breakfast (lol), delicious Mee Siam and Nasi Lemak, 100 Plus and icky water that tasted like SeaMaster. Damn, everyone looks so serious while eating ._.

It rained a little after we finished eating but thank god it didn't dampen our spirits of splashing in the river =D. The rain was having its own mood swings since it was raining then stopped then rained again wtf.

Don't be fooled.... the water was damn effing cold!!! XD;; See Jared perching on the rock refusing to dip in *flees*

The 3 people who manage to dunk their whole bodies in. Audrey looks like she's having some orgasmic fun in here lolol.

On the way back we passed by Batu Caves and made a spontaneous decision to climb up just for workout sake. Since we're here why not right?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA TTATT Breathe Neko! Think of the benefits! Your legs shall be toned! Improve stamina! Really, I had to chant those in my head just to keep climbing.

Climb was worth it though as we were welcomed by a cool breeze~

We climbed further to explore the area. I was climbing up the steps and watching out for... unknown things when this black pigeon suddenly popped out from the barricade and scared the living daylights out of me! I screamed on the spot and the aunty that was walking down the stairs saw the whole thing and laughed at me T___T. When we left the area, that pigeon was still walking on the stairs >_>. I swear its just finding another chance to go 'booyah!' at me.

Review: Kiehl's Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Masque

Back in 2009, Kiehl's introduced the Rare Earth range formulated with Amazonian White Clay to help purify and detoxify skin, while minimizing pores. Sounds good right? =D Well it seemed like a miracle product judging by the reviews I've read so I decided to pick a sample from the nearest Kiehl's outlet. My pores have always been huge =S I've had people telling me that so I was crossing my fingers hoping it works.

The Rare Earth Collection comes with 4 items:

Rare Earth Pore Refining Tonic, 250ml

Rare Earth Pore Minimizing Lotion, 75ml

Rare Earth Deep Pore Daily Cleanser, 150ml

Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Masque, 142g

I did get samples for the cleanser and tonic but I only tried the masque since I didn't want to break my skin regime for now as its been working wonderfully =).

Our Rare Earth masque helps purify and detoxify skin while minimizing the appearance of enlarged pores. Formulated with Amazonian White Clay to gently draw out oil, dirt and toxins that can clog pores. The addition of Oatmeal and Aloe Vera will help soothe, hydrate and protect sensitive skin.

Mmmmm I read that oatmeal also absorbs the excess oil from the skin AND in the pores while aloe vera is good for sensitive skin as it soothes and heals skin. As clay can be quite drying, this range is only recommended for normal to oily skin types. The sample sachet I got was more than enough for my face =D there was a bit of extra but I wan't keen on keeping in case it dries up >_<. Instruction says to apply a thin layer onto face and leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing.

I noticed a tingling effect while the mask was on my skin but I ignored it since it wasn't that bad compared to other masks I've tried but I immediately rinsed it off after time's up. My nose area was red but my skin felt clean and my pores are smaller, well they normally do look smaller after my bath so I can't go screaming happily yet.

The next morning I woke up and damn my pores are back to being big =( and my T-zone horribly oily by midday >_< Could it be that I need to use the whole range to see results? Or that I need to use the mask a few times before I can see results? It won't be something I'll buy if I can find a better smelling clay mask and since I haven't been able to see the desired results, I think I might weigh on the decision a bit longer.

Oh thank god I got my images back! I've been seeing froggies all day till I sent in a request to register a domain DX. Quite some time ago that I blogged about my life =D Work has been hectic as usual. Before CNY, clients were rushing for deadlines since suppliers normally go on a 1 week leave. After CNY, clients get busy concocting nonsense for us to get stressed over ~_~;; My hopes to take leave are gone~~~~ T3T

We had a dealers launch last week. It was fun :3 even though I had the cramps from womanly issues. Johnny and my boss have sync-ed their minds. They wore the same shirt on that day -3-

Boss hired a new copywriter too. He's a bit weird =/ Long story.

Boss dragged us to help out and be slaves to the client T3T I stood at the side and looked pretty! *flees* Nah I just took some set up pics and placed my bum on any chair available, damn period..... I spent most of my time trying to catch people in the most awkward positions. Victim is mostly Johnny hehehe!

Well karma paid me a visit for taking all these ridiculous photos lol. Turns out the place where I parked turns into a hawker area at night. So I arrived to my car to find it surrounded by tables and a stall grilling sotong beside my car @A@

T_T My car could actually move if we moved 2-3 tables away but the fella told me that the Char Kuey Teow guy parked his car at the entrance and there was no way he was gonna budge =( Thank gods Audrey came and saved the day! >A< but I could only collect my car by 1am D8

The sandals that I wanted turned out to be Grendha shoes and upon closer inspection, the flats are actually VERY hard so I settled for a pair of normal Ipanema flip flops....... which by now has turned a little grey-ish OTL damn you dusty Malaysia!

My cosplay plans is also progressing smoothly. Settled most of the material after 2 days of material hunting thanks to our kiam siap nature. My A4 sheet of paper is full of cloth samples haha but most likely we'll buy the cloth next week =D Here's a last pic before I end my entry.
